Reporting to the HRIS leadership team, this role is responsible for the design, configuration, testing, optimization, and ongoing support of compensation processes within Workday, including annual merit cycles, bonus planning, equity programs, compensation eligibility frameworks, reporting, and data governance.

The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on experience configuring Workday Advanced Compensation and partnering with Compensation and People teams to translate compensation strategies into scalable system solutions. This role will play a critical part in ensuring the successful administration of annual compensation programs while driving continuous improvement, system integrity, and operational excellence across the Workday platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary configuration expert for Workday Compensation and Advanced Compensation, designing, building, and maintaining compensation plans, eligibility rules, compensation review cycles, bonus plans, equity programs, compensation pools, and related business processes.

  • Configure and maintain compensation frameworks that align with Total Rewards strategies, organizational structures, and business requirements.
  • Partner closely with Compensation, Total Rewards, HR, and business stakeholders to translate compensation program requirements into scalable Workday solutions and recommend best practices based on system capabilities.

  • Support compensation-related Workday releases, enhancements, and cycle readiness activities through system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), validation, and issue resolution.
  • Ensure data integrity and compliance through audit controls, validation processes, security configuration, and adherence to data governance standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex compensation system and data issues while providing clear communication and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute high-volume data loads utilizing EIBs and other Workday tools to support compensation and broader HR initiatives.
  • Provide Tier 2 Workday support and contribute to knowledge management, documentation, training materials, and end-user education
  • Support configuration and maintenance activities across Core HCM, Recruiting, Absence, and other Workday functional areas as needed; however, the primary focus of the role remains Compensation and Advanced Compensation.
