In this position, your work will have a profound impact on the country’s most critical role - protecting our national security.\nWhy Join Us?\nInnovative Projects: KBR’s work is at the forefront of engineering, logistics, operations, science, program management, mission IT and cybersecurity solutions.\n\nCollaborative Environment: Be part of a dynamic team that thrives on collaboration and innovation, fostering a supportive and intellectually stimulating workplace.\n\nImpactful Work: Your contributions will be pivotal in designing and optimizing defense systems that ensure national security and shape the future of space defense.\n\nThis is a contingent position based upon contract award.\nKBR is seeking a highly motivated and career-oriented Conferencing Manager to join our team supporting a government client with locations in the Northern Virginia Area.\nKey Responsibilities:\nProvide oversight to the conferencing team for planning, organizing and executing events such as conferences, training and meetings.\n\nFully coordinate and collaborate on all tasks, activities, requirements and issues as they pertain to the support of the Customer’s conferencing and training events.\n\nDevelop conferencing event plans and schedules, and define and document the implementation of requirements\n\nManage customer expectations with proactive, consistent and transparent communication.\n\nOversee all aspects of event planning and execution, including catering, venue selection, logistics, AV requirements, and scheduling.\n\nWork closely with event point of contact, stakeholders, food service, logistics, security, and vendors to ensure the event objectives are met.\n\nDevelop the event budget in accordance with established guidelines, ensuring all expenses are accounted for, and provide to appropriate government POCs for approval. Manage approved budget throughout the event.\n\nConduct post event evaluations with POC, attendees and event support teams to assess the event’s success and identify areas for improvement.\n\nQualifications\nRequired:\nClearance Requirement: TS/SCI with polygraph\n\nFive (5) years of proven work experience as an Event Planner or Conference Manager.\n\nKnowledge of KPIs and conferencing software for event management.\n\nPersonnel management experience with excellent oral and written communication skills.\n\nAbility to interpret, capture, and manage customer requirements and expectations\n\nDesired:\nFour (4) year degree in marketing, hospitality management or related field is preferred.\n\nBasic Compensation:\n$88,000-$120,000\nThis range is for Virginia only.\nThe offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.\n\nAdditional Compensation:\nKBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation.
