and smart solutions to optimize planned and operating assets.\nConstruction Manager - Offshore Project\nLocation: EPC Contractors Office in Abu Dhabi\nJob Purpose\nThe Construction Manager is responsible for leading and managing all construction, fabrication, transportation, offshore installation, hook-up, pre-commissioning, and mechanical completion activities associated with a major offshore oil and gas development project.\nThe role provides leadership and oversight to ensure that all construction activities executed by EPCI Contractors are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications, ADNOC standards, approved schedules, quality requirements, and contractual obligations.\nThe Construction Manager serves as the PMC focal point for construction execution and is responsible for monitoring contractor performance, resolving construction-related issues, ensuring interface coordination, and supporting successful delivery of project objectives from detailed engineering through project handover.\nThe position shall provide leadership across fabrication yards, site offices, offshore work locations, marine spreads, and commissioning teams while ensuring that HSE, quality, schedule, and cost objectives are achieved.\nKey Responsibilities\nConstruction Leadership & Governance\nProvide visible leadership and direction for all construction activities.\nParticipate in Project Leadership Team meetings and contribute to project execution strategies.\nEnsure construction objectives align with overall project goals.\nPromote safe and efficient construction practices across all work locations.\nEstablish performance expectations for construction teams and contractors.\nProvide guidance and mentoring to PMC Construction personnel.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives within the project organization.\nDrive a proactive culture focused on safety, quality, productivity and accountability.\nConstruction Management\nManage all construction execution activities throughout the project lifecycle.\nOversee fabrication, module assembly, offshore installation, hook-up, and commissioning support activities.\nReview and endorse Contractor Construction Execution Plans.\nEnsure construction activities comply with approved engineering drawings and specifications.\nMonitor contractor productivity and performance throughout execution.\nIdentify and resolve construction constraints impacting project delivery.\nVerify construction methodologies and work practices are appropriate and effective.\nEnsure construction readiness prior to execution activities.\nCoordinate multi-discipline construction activities to optimize project performance.\nFabrication Yard Management\nMonitor fabrication progress at contractor fabrication yards.\nEnsure fabrication activities comply with project quality and engineering requirements.\nReview fabrication schedules and monitor progress against approved milestones.\nParticipate in fabrication inspections and surveillance activities.\nVerify contractor manpower, equipment, and resources are adequate.\nSupport resolution of fabrication issues and non-conformances.\nCoordinate discipline interfaces impacting fabrication progress.\nEnsure readiness for transportation and load-out activities.\nOffshore Construction Management\nOversee offshore execution activities during installation, hook-up, and commissioning phases.\nMonitor offshore construction performance against project objectives.\nEnsure safe execution of offshore activities.\nSupport management of marine logistics and workfront planning.\nVerify construction activities are executed in accordance with approved procedures.\nCoordinate interfaces between project teams and operating assets.\nMonitor contractor compliance with offshore work permits and operational requirements.\nParticipate in offshore leadership visits and assurance reviews.\nBrownfield & SIMOPS Management\nLead construction planning and execution for brownfield modifications.\nParticipate in constructability and SIMOPS reviews.\nEnsure contractor activities are coordinated with operating facilities.\nVerify risks associated with simultaneous operations are managed effectively.\nSupport preparation of shutdown and tie-in execution plans.\nMonitor implementation of approved SIMOPS controls.\nCoordinate stakeholder engagement to minimize operational disruption.\nSchedule & Progress Management\nReview and monitor construction schedules.\nEnsure contractor recovery plans are developed where delays occur.\nValidate construction progress measurements.\nMonitor achievement of project milestones.\nIdentify schedule risks and develop mitigation plans.\nReview short-term and long-term construction forecasts.\nSupport project management in maintaining schedule objectives.\nContractor Management\nMonitor EPCI Contractor construction performance.\nConduct construction audits and performance assessments.\nParticipate in contractor management meetings.\nEnsure contractor compliance with contractual obligations.\nReview construction staffing plans and organizational structures.\nVerify contractor capability and resource adequacy.\nMonitor closure of construction action items and punch-list activities.\nQuality Management\nEnsure construction activities comply with project quality requirements.\nCoordinate closely with QA/QC personnel.\nMonitor inspection and test activities.\nParticipate in quality audits and assessments.\nReview construction quality records and documentation.\nEnsure timely resolution of non-conformances.\nSupport development of quality improvement initiatives.\nHSE Responsibilities\nPromote ADNOC’s safety objectives and Performance Management\nPrepare construction progress reports.\nMonitor KPIs relating to safety, quality, schedule and productivity.\nReport construction status to Project Management.\nIdentify key risks and mitigation measures.\nSupport management reviews and performance assessments.\nTrack construction trends and recommend improvement initiatives.\nStakeholder Management\nInterface with ADNOC representatives.\nCoordinate with engineering, procurement, quality, commissioning and operations teams.\nManage relationships with contractors, subcontractors and vendors.\nParticipate in project reviews and coordination meetings.\nFacilitate timely resolution of project execution issues.\nQualifications\nBachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Marine or related Engineering discipline.\nMinimum 25 years of Oil & Gas industry experience.\nMinimum 10 years in Construction Management roles on major offshore developments.\nMinimum 5 years PMC experience managing EPCI Contractors.\nProven experience in offshore platforms, compression facilities, pipelines, bridges, brownfield modifications, hook-up and commissioning activities.\nStrong understanding of construction management systems and execution methodologies.\nExcellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.\nPreferred Certifications\nPMP Certification\nChartered Engineer
