The Project comprises a diverse portfolio of developments that contribute to the growth and sustainability of Abu Dhabi. This includes the planning, design, and delivery of critical infrastructure and utility works, service networks for newly developed land, and community facilities such as schools, mosques, parks, and other public amenities. KBR provides Project Management Consultancy (PMC) services across all phases of project delivery, including project planning, project controls, design and engineering management, procurement support, and the implementation of development, infrastructure, utility, and early works packages, ensuring the successful execution of the programme objectives.\nMAIN RESPONSIBILITIES\nManagement of the contractual aspects of a set of projects as part of the programme management consultant’s role on a major programme of infrastructure development works\nManage/Overview the Supervisions Consultant’s Contracts Team to ensure proper administration\nAdminister the construction and supervision contract(s) in accordance with the Conditions of Contract and project-specific requirements\nAdvise and Interface with Engineer, and Employer for the relevant project regarding contractual obligations, rights, risks, and entitlements\nInterface with other PMC disciplines to meet overall program deliverables\nSupport interpretation of contract clauses and provide contractual support to the project team in assessing contractual entitlements for disagreed items and scope.\nProvide advice on contractual matters, including risk management, disagreements and disputes\nUnderstanding of construction contracts and relevant regulations is essential to ensure compliance and mitigate risks\nCoordinate with the commercial and quantity surveying teams regarding payment applications and commercial assessments\nReview valuation of variations and claims\nManagement of all aspects of contractual claims arising from the execution of contracts as part of the programme management consultant’s role on a major programme of infrastructure development works in an ethical manner at all times, in accordance with procedures\nPrepare and review contractual letters, notices, determinations, recommendations, and reports.\nEnsure timely issuance of contractual notices to preserve contractual rights and maintain contractual communication protocols\nParticipate in commercial and contractual meetings\nReview all incoming and outgoing project-related letters to ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions\nReview and comments on all Bond and Insurances\nReview a potential change item to establish entitlement\nReview of Payments for contractor and consultant to ensure compliance with Contract.\nPrepare Contract Amendments as and when required.\nAssists in the development of the contracts and procurement strategy, standards, policies, procedures, and best practices (if required)\nWork in close coordination with other members and provides support to the contracts management team to ensure that they meet the Project objectives on time and within budget, in an ethical manner at all times, in accordance with procedures\nReview all aspects of contractual claims arising from the execution of contracts (Consultant and Contractors), in respect of preparation of contractual entitlement to relief based on documentary evidence, in an ethical manner at all times, in accordance with procedures.\nInterface with other teams to meet overall program deliverables, including for review of claims\nPrepare recommendation report on all claims (as required) in coordination with the PMC project planner.\nReview Supervision Consultant recommendation reports on all claims and the like\nMonitors and reports on the contracts administration performance by Consultants, Construction Supervisors and Contractors.\nLiaise with Employer Project Delivery, Core and Procurement teams on commercial and contractual matters\nEXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE\nBSc Quantity Surveying, construction management, engineering, architecture or appropriate equivalent\nMinimum overall relevant experience 10-15 years.\nMinimum relevant experience 8 years in the role\nMinimum Regional Experience 5 years\nProfessional memberships and charterships such as MRICS, an advantage\nSound knowledge of all commercial aspects of buildings, community facilities and infrastructure projects including structures, roads, bridges, and utilities\nExcellent report writing and communication skills\nExperienced user of MS Office and contract management software\nExperience of major projects in the Middle East\nTeam player with the ability to work independently when required\nCOMPETENCIES\nLeadership\nStrong interpersonal and communication skills\nCommercial awareness\nStrong customer focus\nPlanning & organising\nAccepts Responsibility\nHSE Awareness\n Fraud Alert\nFraud has infiltrated the job placement market via the internet, email and direct phone contact.
