The role ensures effective administration of engineering, procurement, construction, installation, commissioning, and consultancy contracts throughout the project lifecycle.\nThe position provides strategic contractual advice to Project Management and ensures that all contractual rights, obligations, risks, claims, variations, and commercial exposures are properly managed to protect project interests and achieve successful project outcomes.\nThe Contracts Manager acts as the primary PMC focal point for contract administration, change management, claims management, dispute avoidance, and commercial governance while ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, ADNOC procedures, and industry best practices.\nKey Responsibilities\nContracts Leadership & Governance\nProvide leadership and direction for all project contractual and commercial matters.\nDevelop and implement contract management strategies.\nEnsure contract administration activities align with project objectives.\nAdvise Project Management on contractual obligations, entitlements, and risks.\nSupport decision-making through commercial and contractual analysis.\nPromote consistency in contract administration practices across the project.\nEnsure compliance with ADNOC and project governance requirements.\nContract Administration\nAdminister EPC, PMC, consultancy, and vendor contracts.\nMonitor compliance with contractual requirements.\nReview contract correspondence and formal notices.\nEnsure contractual obligations are fulfilled by all parties.\nInterpret contractual provisions and provide recommendations to project teams.\nManage contractual communications with contractors and suppliers.\nMonitor contractor performance against contractual requirements.\nSupport effective execution of all contractual deliverables.\nChange Management & Variations\nManage the contract change management process.\nReview variation requests and change proposals.\nEvaluate contractual entitlement associated with changes.\nAssess schedule and cost implications arising from variations.\nReview contractor submissions relating to change orders.\nEnsure changes are properly documented and approved.\nMaintain change registers and reporting systems.\nSupport negotiation and settlement of variation orders.\nClaims Management\nLead review and assessment of contractor claims.\nAnalyze entitlement, liability, and contractual merit of claims.\nCoordinate multidisciplinary reviews of claims submissions.\nPrepare contractual position papers and recommendations.\nSupport negotiation and resolution of disputed matters.\nMaintain project claims registers.\nEnsure timely processing of contractual claims.\nMitigate project exposure to commercial disputes.\nCommercial Risk Management\nIdentify contractual and commercial risks throughout project execution.\nDevelop risk mitigation strategies.\nAdvise Project Management regarding risk allocation.\nParticipate in project risk review workshops.\nMonitor trends that may impact project commercial performance.\nSupport proactive contract administration to avoid disputes.\nRecommend and commercial deviations.\nAssess contractual risks within proposed contracts.\nSupport contract award recommendations.\nParticipate in negotiation meetings with bidders and suppliers.\nEnsure consistency between contract requirements and commercial objectives.\nContractor Performance Management\nMonitor contractor contractual performance.\nTrack contractor compliance with project obligations.\nParticipate in contractor review meetings.\nEvaluate contractor performance against key performance indicators.\nEscalate significant contractual performance issues.\nRecommend corrective actions where necessary.\nSupport implementation of performance improvement initiatives.\nCost & Financial Oversight\nMonitor commercial impacts affecting project costs.\nReview payment applications and commercial evaluations.\nSupport verification of contractor invoices.\nMonitor forecast commitments and potential liabilities.\nCoordinate with Project Controls and Cost Management teams.\nEnsure commercial management aligns with approved budgets.\nHSE & Quality Responsibilities\nPromote ADNOC HSE objectives.\nEnsure contractual provisions adequately address HSE and quality requirements.\nSupport integration of HSE obligations into contractual documentation.\nVerify contractor compliance with relevant contractual quality provisions.\nParticipate in project audits where contractual matters are involved.\nReporting & Performance Management\nPrepare commercial and contract management reports.\nMaintain contract status registers.\nReport on variation orders, claims, disputes, and risks.\nProvide commercial assessments to Project Management.\nMonitor trends impacting contractual performance.\nPrepare management presentations as required.\nStakeholder Management\nInterface with ADNOC representatives and Project Management.\nCoordinate with engineering, construction, procurement, project controls, and legal teams.\nBuild productive working relationships with contractors and suppliers.\nSupport management of external stakeholders affecting contract performance.\nQualifications\nBachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Law, Business Administration, or related discipline.\nMinimum 25 years of Oil & Gas industry experience.\nMinimum 10 years in Contracts Management roles on major capital projects.\nMinimum 5 years PMC experience managing EPC contracts.\nExtensive knowledge of EPC contract structures and administration.\nStrong understanding of claims management and dispute resolution processes.\nExcellent commercial, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.\nPreferred Certifications\nPMP\nMRICS\nCCM (Certified Construction Manager)\nCIPS Professional
