By joining KBR, you become part of a team that works together, shares common values and is united in delivering great outcomes.\nThe Opportunity\nAs our Design Project Manager (Rail), you will play a key leadership role in the successful delivery of major rail and transport infrastructure projects across NSW.\nReporting to the Discipline Manager, Project & Design Management, you will lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex rail projects, taking accountability for project performance across scope, schedule, commercial outcomes, quality, risk and client satisfaction.\nThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced project or design manager who thrives in a client-facing environment and enjoys leading integrated teams to deliver impactful transport infrastructure outcomes.\nWhat You'll Do\nProject & Design Leadership\nLead the delivery of rail and transport infrastructure projects from planning through to completion.\nTake ownership of project outcomes, including program, budget, risk, quality and commercial performance.\nEstablish and manage project execution plans in line with KBR's project delivery frameworks.\nProvide governance, assurance and strategic guidance across multidisciplinary project teams.\nManage project interfaces and stakeholder relationships to ensure successful delivery outcomes.\nSupport project and design managers in identifying, mitigating and escalating delivery risks.\nEnsure projects are delivered in accordance with KBR's quality management systems and project controls.\nTeam Leadership\nLead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams across civil, structural, building services, environmental and specialist disciplines.\nManage internal teams and external subconsultants to achieve project objectives.\nFoster a collaborative, high-performing and safety-focused team culture.\nProvide leadership, mentoring and support to project personnel.\nClient & Business Development\nDevelop and maintain strong client relationships across the NSW rail and transport sector.\nAct as a trusted advisor, ensuring client expectations are effectively managed and exceeded.\nIdentify opportunities for repeat work and long-term client partnerships.\nSupport business development activities and contribute to strategic growth initiatives.\nBid & Pursuit Support\nContribute to pursuit strategies, methodology development and proposal preparation.\nSupport positioning and winning of new opportunities across local and national markets.\nAssist with project pursuits of varying size and complexity.\nCollaborate across business units to support integrated client solutions.\nWho You Are\nYou are a proven project delivery leader with extensive experience delivering multidisciplinary rail and transport infrastructure projects.\nYou will ideally bring:\nSignificant experience in project management and/or design management within the rail sector.\nDemonstrated success delivering complex infrastructure projects through design phases.\nStrong commercial acumen, including management of budgets, fees, schedules and risk.\nExperience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and consultant interfaces.\nExcellent stakeholder engagement and client relationship management capabilities.\nWell-developed communication, leadership and influencing skills.\nA relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline.\nProfessional registration and/or Chartered status will be highly regarded.\nAt KBR, we value you - here’s how.\nWhile our people are busy delivering leading science, technology, and engineering solutions, we’re committed to providing them with a supportive, trusting environment and benefits that enable them to thrive and continue doing what they do best.\nBenefits include:\nIndustry leading salaries reviewed annually.\n20 Days of annual leave per year + the ability to accrue an additional 8 hours every 4 weeks (33 days in total)\nFlexible work arrangements (start/finish times, WFH, Flex time)\nSalary packaging and novated leases\nPaid professional membership fees\nLife/Health insurance discounts\nEmployee stock purchase plans\nPersonal career development plans\nGrowth and promotion opportunities\nGreat office environment with fantastic facilities\nAccess to health benefits programs\nHelp shape tomorrow by applying today!\nOur people are the heart of everything we do.
