Backed by a global presence and a strong ethical framework, KBR collaborates closely with customers to develop secure, effective, and forward-thinking solutions.\nJob Summary: \nThe Electronic Security System Technicians will be involved in troubleshooting, replacing components and wiring circuits; repairing electronic equipment; and taking test readings using common instruments such as digital multi-meters, signal generators, semiconductor testers, curve tracers and oscilloscopes. The work requires knowledge of basic and advanced electrical and electronic principles as they pertain to security systems and equipment installed at facilities.\nIdeal candidates will be located within 50 miles of Miami, Florida.\nRoles and Responsibilities:\nProvide guidance to a small team of EMT IIs based on supervision from the project/program manager.\nPerform cabling and infrastructure installation to include EMT conduit, cable trays, cable and fiber optics. Installation of CCTV IP cameras, access control and intrusion detection panels and field devices in accordance with Installation Design Plan (IDP).\nPerform function tests and analysis on various installed systems.\nDiagnose and correct equipment malfunctions and failures.\nCable dressing and labeling installed devices in accordance with IDP.\nA successful candidate must have a solid history of functioning in a team environment, being a self-starter, working independently with limited instruction, and meeting critical demands.\nMust have excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.\nAbility to climb ladders up to 8 feet in height and safely ascend/descend as needed\nProficient in the use of hand and power tools\nAbility to lift and carry equipment weighing approximately 25-40 pounds\nComfortable performing tasks in overhead work positions for extended periods\nBasic Qualifications:\nMust be a U.S. citizen.\nAssociates degree and 5+ years of experience in the electronics field, including 4+ years of practical experience with electronic security systems maintenance and installation.\nIn lieu of a degree, a high school diploma/GED with 7+ years of equivalent related training and experience may be substituted.\nThe successful candidate must be able to obtain and maintain an extensive customer investigation and clearance.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nSecret Clearance is preferred but not required.\nSpecial consideration given to candidates with OEM factory training from Identiv, Bosch and/or Cisco Switches.\nTravel: Travel up to 10% possible.\nWork Hours: Core business hours 7:00 am - 5:00 pm\nKBR Benefits:\nKBR offers a selection of competitive lifestyle benefits which could include 401K plan with company match, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, AD&D, flexible spending account, disability, paid time off, or flexible work schedule.
