The spin-off creates unique opportunities for professional growth, increased responsibility, and long-term career development within a newly independent organisation.\nThis is an exciting time to join KBR as the company prepares for the forthcoming spin-off of its Government Solutions business into Trinzic, creating new opportunities for growth, transformation, and career development.\nResponsibilities\nOversee the maintenance of accurate financial records and general ledger activity in compliance with regulatory standards of US & UK\n\nManage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting\n\nLead, team of accounting professionals and manage oversight of team in Chennai; delegate tasks, provide guidance\n\nAnalyse and reconcile complex balance sheet accounts; identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner\n\nEnsure internal financial reporting meets the needs of both business operations and corporate leadership\n\nCollaborate with internal stakeholders and external auditors during annual audits, and other compliance engagements\n\nSupport the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls\n\nParticipate in cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives to enhance accounting operations and financial transparency\n\nWhat we are looking for\nEssential\nQualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)\n\nProven experience of working in a Matrix Organisation and contracting and project environment\n\nLeadership experience - Prior supervisory roles or experience leading teams\n\nGlobal collaboration - Ability to oversee and provide guidance to the Chennai team remotely\n\nExcel - Strong proficiency in financial data analysis and reporting\n\nTechnical accounting mastery - Deep knowledge of accounting principles and standards\n\nAudit liaison skills - Familiarity with both internal and external audit processes\n\nMicrosoft Dynamics proficiency - Hands-on experience with financial ERP systems such as SAP, Costpoint\n\nProcess improvement mindset - Passion for optimizing and refining accounting workflows\n\nWorking knowledge of US GAAP and SOX compliance\n\nDesirable\nExperience working within a publicly listed organisation or US-based multinational company\n\nLocation\nLeatherhead, Surrey (Hybrid - 3 days in the office)\nSecurity Requirements\nDue to the nature of the projects we work on, restrictions relating to UK residency and nationality will apply.
