In this position, you will support acquiring and deploying the next generation of space assets including first of a kind satellite constellation with ground-breaking technology. This rewarding and mission focused position will enable you to have a positive impact on our nation’s capabilities, while working with an incredibly strong team that is focused on mission success.\nThe GEOINT Operations Systems Engineer is responsible for supporting satellite operations from tasking to product dissemination for a proliferated constellation of imagery satellites. This position requires an understanding of operations with prior experience in satellite operations. Must have excellent problem solving skills, creativity and a willingness and to go the extra mile to resolve issues in a dynamic fast paced Program Office. If you have passion for the mission, are excited about next generation space, and love collaborating with a great team, apply today.\nKey Responsibilities:\nProvide operations planning and execution support\nDevelop and coordinate operations transition plans for large constellations\nProvides support to anomaly resolution\nSupport development and evaluation of CONOPS for GEOINT missions\nInterface with mission users, operators, and analysts to translate operational needs into system requirements\nAssess system performance from an operational and mission-effectiveness perspective\nSupport exercises, demonstrations, and operational evaluations\nAbility to provide on-call support\nProvide proactive support to the Government customer and tasks in an integrated office environment\nParticipate in full lifecycle acquisition and SE activities from pre-acquisition through launch and on-orbit checkout\nAuthor, review, and coordinate documents, briefings and data to aid the Government in communications and decision-making\nProvide support for dissemination of imagery products\nRequired Qualifications:\nClearance: Active TS/SCI security clearance with current Polygraph\nEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics, and 8+ years’ experiencePreferred: Masters or PhD in a relevant technical field\n\nSpace Systems: Experience with space systems design, development, and operations to include tasking, metrics collecting, and image dissemination\n IC Community: Experience with the Intelligence Community (IC) and/or the Department of Defense\nPayloads: Experience with IC architectures, spacecraft, and payloads\nLead: Ability to lead and be the primary point of contact for one or more projects\n Skills: Effective interpersonal skills (across multiple groups, offices, and organizations) and strong customer engagement skills\nCommunication: Ability to communicate complex technical subjects to a diverse audience of senior decision makers with varying levels of technical expertise in written and oral formats\n Environment: Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, integrated team environment\nBelong, Connect and Grow at KBR\nAt KBR, we are passionate about our people and our Zero Harm culture.
