Our focus is on transforming data into actionable insights that guide the company's strategic priorities and operational performance.\nWe are seeking a commercially minded and analytically strong IT FP&A Manager to lead budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis and decision support for STS IT costs.\nReporting to the Senior Manager, Corporate FP&A, the role will partner closely with IT leadership, Corporate FP&A, Accounting and business finance teams. The IT FP&A Manager will provide clear insight into IT expenditure, investment, cost drivers, allocations and recoveries, helping IT and finance leaders understand performance, manage risks and make informed decisions.\nThe role will be responsible for developing credible and transparent forecasts across IT operating costs, capital investment, cash flow and business allocations. The IT FP&A Manager will not have formal direct reports but will leverage support from the Corporate FP&A Analyst and the wider Chennai FP&A function to deliver planning, reporting and analysis requirements.\nKey responsibilities\nLead the annual budget, periodic forecast and long-range planning processes for IT.\nDevelop detailed forecasts by IT function, service, initiative, project and cost category.\nPartner with IT leaders and budget owners to understand operational requirements, workforce plans, contracts, project expenditure and other cost drivers.\nProvide clear analysis of actual and forecast IT performance against budget, prior forecast and prior year.\nProduce concise executive-level commentary explaining key variances, risks, opportunities and required management actions.\nMaintain clear visibility over IT operating expenditure, capital investment, depreciation, cash flow and total cost.\nDevelop and maintain transparent forecasting models for IT cost allocations and recoveries.\nAnalyse allocation and recovery outcomes, including under-recovery, over-recovery, stranded-cost and forecast risks.\nHelp regional and business finance teams understand IT charges, allocation drivers and the effect of changes in IT costs or consumption.\nPartner with IT leadership and Corporate FP&A to assess investment proposals, business cases, sourcing decisions and cost-efficiency opportunities.\nUndertake scenario modelling and sensitivity analysis to support technology, operational and financial decisions.\nMonitor IT initiatives and portfolios against approved budgets, forecasts and expected financial outcomes.\nProduce regular IT financial dashboards and decision-support materials for the CIO, IT leadership, STS Ops CFO, Director of FP&A and Senior Manager, Corporate FP&A.\nCoordinate the timely collection, review and consolidation of financial inputs from IT budget owners and relevant finance teams.\nDirect and coordinate leveraged analytical support from the Corporate FP&A Analyst and Chennai FP&A function, setting clear deliverables, timelines and review expectations without formal line-management responsibility.\nWork closely with Accounting to ensure IT costs, accruals, capital expenditure, prepayments, leases, allocations and recoveries are appropriately reflected in management reporting.\nSupport Accounting by providing relevant operational information for material accruals, accounting assessments and cost-allocation entries, while maintaining clear accountability between FP&A and Accounting.\nReconcile management reporting and forecasts to the general ledger and investigate material differences with Accounting.\nImprove forecast accuracy, data quality and transparency over IT financial performance.\nDrive continuous improvement and automation across IT planning, reporting and cost-allocation processes.\nPromote a culture of financial ownership, collaboration, service and continuous improvement across IT and Finance.\nKey relationships\nSenior Manager, Corporate FP&A\nDirector, FP&A\nSTS Ops CFO\nCIO and IT leadership\nIT budget and service owners\nCorporate FP&A Analyst and Chennai FP&A function\nCorporate Accounting\nRegional and business FP&A teams\nProcurement, Treasury and Tax\nEnterprise IT and Enterprise FP&A stakeholders\n\nQualifications and experience\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics or a related discipline.\nRecognised accounting qualification, CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent preferred; an MBA would also be advantageous.\nAt least six years of progressive FP&A, commercial finance, IT finance or related financial experience.\nDemonstrable experience of budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and variance analysis.\nExperience managing or analysing technology costs, corporate functions or other complex shared-service expenditure.\nExperience developing or managing cost-allocation and recovery models.\nStrong understanding of operating expenditure, capital expenditure, depreciation and cash-flow forecasting.\nAbility to understand contracts, workforce costs, technology projects and service-cost drivers.\n Experience partnering with senior finance and non-finance stakeholders and constructively challenging assumptions.\nAbility to translate complex financial information into concise executive-level insight and recommendations.\nExperience coordinating work through matrixed or offshore support teams would be advantageous.\nWorking knowledge of US GAAP and accounting close processes.\nStrong financial modelling and systems capability.\nAdvanced Microsoft Excel and Power BI skills.\nExperience with Oracle EPM, Oracle FCCS, Deltek Costpoint, SAP, Dynamics 365 or Apptio would be advantageous.\nGovernment contracting and indirect-cost allocation experience would be advantageous where relevant to the STS business.\nCandidate attributes\nCommercially minded, analytical and intellectually curious.\nAble to understand both financial detail and the operational drivers of IT costs.\nComfortable challenging assumptions and working with incomplete or changing information.\nStrong commitment to accuracy, transparency and data integrity.\nCollaborative and service-oriented, while maintaining appropriate financial discipline.\nAble to communicate complex allocation and cost information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.\nAble to coordinate and review work delivered through matrixed support resources.\nComfortable operating in a fast-paced, global and matrixed organisation.\nProactive, well organised and able to manage competing priorities.\nDemonstrates ownership, sound judgement and a continuous-improvement mindset.\nWorking model\nHouston-based hybrid role, with attendance at KBR headquarters as required.\nKBR Benefits\nKBR offers a selection of competitive lifestyle benefits which could include 401K plan with company match, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, AD&D, flexible spending account, disability, paid time off, or flexible work schedule.
