And that’s only the beginning.\nJob Summary\nLead Metrology Technician will provide day-to-day support for the Metrology Program Calibrating IMTE and guiding workflow with other technicians. Lead Technician will be involved with providing training and coverage for lab activities to support customers. Will assist Lab Manager in monitoring trends through calibration metrics.\nRoles and Responsibilities\nPerform calibrations on dimensional, physical, and electrical equipment.\n\nCalibrate standards used in calibrations.\n\nEnsure documentation conforms to Quality Systems requirements.\n\nPerform complex configuration and tests of equipment according to instructions, blueprints, schematic sketches and/or prescribed testing procedures.\n\nUse common laboratory measuring, calibrating, and test equipment.\n\nProficient at understanding work instructions, and site procedures.\n\nProficient in understanding engineering drawings for custom gages and fixtures.\n\nProficient in surface plate layouts using sine plates, compound sine plates, and sine bars.\n\nProficient in calibration of hand tools, including internal and external micrometers, plug gages, ring gages, thread gages, and dial/test indicators.\n\nPerform work safely, in compliance with HS&E requirements, and takes actions to ensure a safe working environment.\n\nInteract effectively with others to produce the desired results.\n\nParticipate constructively in the utilization of process improvement methods to provide timely, cost-effective, quality services.\n\nApply advanced skills in area of specialization.\n\nParticipate in development of calibration procedures and uncertainty analysis.\n\nPerform all other duties as assigned.\n\nBasic Qualifications\nUndergraduate degree preferred, or applicable technical training and certifications and 7 years of directly related experience. Equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of degree.\n\nFormal training from a military, PMEL, TMDE or calibration school is preferred.\n\nPrevious customer service experience is a plus\n\nLeads and directs the work of others in the absence of the supervisor.\n\nU.S. Citizenship Status required due to client requirement.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nIndySoft, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), CAD, CMM basics, Fluke Met/Team experience is a plus.\n\nProficient using Microsoft technology, including Excel\n\nSpecific contract requirements regarding education and experience will prevail.\n\nKBR Benefits\nKBR offers a selection of competitive lifestyle benefits which could include 401K plan with company match, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, AD&D, flexible spending account, disability, paid time off, or flexible work schedule.
