This role oversees and performs the full range of procurement and subcontract administration activities, leading subcontracting efforts for construction within the Energy & Chemical industry. Location: Port Sulphur, LA.\nUnder minimal direction, this position is accountable for the performance and results of the Subcontracts function on the project, providing leadership and direction to the Subcontracts team while ensuring successful delivery of subcontracting objectives aligned with project goals.\nFunctional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:\nLead and manage Subcontracts team in supporting construction activities for a major project\n\nOversee all phases of subcontracting, including:\nPre-award: bidder qualification, preparation and issuance of ITBs, and coordination of commercial and technical evaluations\n\nPost-award: contract finalization, administration, change management, invoicing, reporting, and contract closeout\n\nServe as the primary Subcontracts interface with Client, Project Management Team, and internal KBR stakeholders\n\nDevelop and implement subcontracting strategies to support project execution and mitigate commercial risk\n\nProvide leadership, guidance, and oversight to ensure consistent processes, compliance, and performance across the team\n\nContribute to the development and improvement of subcontracting processes, tools, and procedures\n\nEnsure subcontract files and documentation are maintained in accordance with company standards\n\nComplete site assignment in accordance with KBR’s terms and conditions\n\nRequired Education, Experience, & Skills:\nBachelor’s degree in Construction Science, Engineering, Industrial Distribution, Quantity Surveying, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or equivalent experience\n\n15+ years of experience in subcontract formation and administration\n\nPrior experience serving as a Lead Subcontracts Manager within an integrated project team environment\n\nStrong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills\n\nDemonstrated commercial acumen, risk awareness, and attention to detail\n\nDecarbonization - Energy Transition - Sustainability\nKBR Benefits\nKBR offers a selection of competitive lifestyle benefits which could include 401K plan with company match, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, AD&D, flexible spending account, disability, paid time off, or flexible work schedule.
