The Hazardous Material Specialist will report directly to the MCPP-PHIL Logistics Support Manager.\nJob Summary\nPlan, coordinate, execute and/or supervise hazardous material management functions for MCPP-PHIL Task Order by implementing the following:\nEnsure compliance of OSHA regulations and all other US, KBR, and Republic of the Philippines hazardous material - related requirements.\n\nManage and apply regulatory and legislative environment requirements and industry practices regarding a full range of hazardous material handling procedures.\n\nProvide manager - level reports regarding hazardous material storage, distribution, disposal, and regulatory considerations.\n\nProvide hazardous material identification and handling training and support for safe handling, processing, packaging, and storage procedures for a wide variety of hazardous materials and wastes.\n\nPlan, coordinate, and manage hazardous material shipping and receiving.\n\nPlan, coordinate, and manage MPF hazardous material logistics support.\n\nFormulate administrative and operational policies and procedures.\n\nIdentify specific requirements for money, manpower, materiel, facilities, and services needed to support the hazardous material management.\n\nEnforce worker compliance with established safety regulations, and method and procedures for handling and storing various hazardous materials.\n\nPrepare technical reports and correspondence to identify problem areas/deficiencies and maintain reports and record-keeping activities.\n\nMaintain MCPP-PHIL ISO policies and procedures and ensure on-going compliance with such.\n\nPerform other duties as assigned.\n\nBasic Qualifications\nAA degree in safety or environmental engineering, health education or a related field. In lieu of a degree, a combination of college credits, other formalized training or education, and directly related work experience may be considered.\n\nSix years directly related work in Hazardous Materials management activities including classification, labeling, segregation inspection, and certification for transportation.\n\nSuccessful completion of an HQMC approved formal school(s) or OSHA course(s) certification that provides fundamental information on the safe and proper management of hazardous materials/waste and associated facilities in accordance with applicable federal regulations.\n\nCompletion of Hazardous Materials/Waste Course in accordance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910-120 or equivalent.\n\nU.S. Citizen.\n\nU.S. Stateside Driver’s License\n\nU.S. Passport\n\nFBI Background investigation with no criminal, civil, or security violations.\n\nMust be able to obtain and maintain a Philippines Work Permit.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nUSMC MOS 8012/8056\n\nUnderstanding of Marine Corps policies, regulations, and orders.\n\nIndustry Certification\n\nWorking knowledge of military storage procedures.\n\nWorking knowledge of general maintenance procedures for military tactical equipment and supplies.\n\nStrong written and oral communication skills.\n\nAbility to comply with all established methods, quality standards, and time schedules applicable to this position.\n\nKBR Benefits\nKBR offers a selection of competitive lifestyle benefits which could include 401K plan with company match, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, AD&D, flexible spending account, disability, paid time off, or flexible work schedule.
