We provide maintenance and logistic services to the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) in support of this program. For over 35 years we have planned, coordinated, and executed the maintenance and logistic services for ground combat vehicles and support equipment for USMC Expeditionary Forces.\n GENERAL SUMMARY:\nposition performs duties involving the dismantling, repairing, relocating, modifying, maintaining, aligning This, overhauling and installing of a wide variety of marine machinery, equipment, and systems (i.e., propulsions machinery, anchor handling gear, etc.). Provides technical assistance, guidance, or training to lower level mechanics. Assists higher level mechanics. Performs other tasks as reasonably assigned. Will be required to work outside for extended periods of times.\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nHigh school graduate or equivalent.\nComplete Diesel Mechanic apprenticeship or trade school.\nFive years of directly related work experience. \nComplete Diesel Mechanic apprenticeship or trade school. \nCompletion of military “C” school for Marine Diesel Engines or equivalent. \nAbility to use a wide variety of hand tools. \nWorking knowledge of the mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and components of diverse marine machinery and their attachments. \nDetailed knowledge of the operating characteristics of the involved machinery, equipment, systems and their functional relationships and the applicable installation and repair procedures, methods, and trade practices. \nAbility to read and interpret symbols, layout sheets, diagrams, schematics, technical orders, and manufacturer’s specifications. \nAbility to comply with all established methods, quality standards, and time schedules applicable to this position. \nU.S. Citizen. \nMust be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC) and Base Access. \nBelong, Connect and Grow at KBR\nAt KBR, we are passionate about our people and our Zero Harm culture.
