In this position, your work will have a profound impact on the country’s most critical role - protecting our national security.\nWhy Join Us?\nInnovative Projects: KBR’s work is at the forefront of engineering, logistics, operations, science, program management, mission IT and cybersecurity solutions.\n\nCollaborative Environment: Be part of a dynamic team that thrives on collaboration and innovation, fostering a supportive and intellectually stimulating workplace.\n\nImpactful Work: Your contributions will be pivotal in designing and optimizing defense systems that ensure national security and shape the future of space defense.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\nCoordinate multidisciplinary teams: Ensure timely and accurate network analysis by aligning efforts across customer teams focused on logical and physical telecom routes.\n\nEvaluate network operations: Collaborate with internal and external partners to assess the role and value of potential network activities.\n\nDemonstrate telecom expertise: Apply deep knowledge of network operations, principles, and best practices to support mission objectives.\n\nSupport modeling with domain insights: Use telecom mastery to contribute mapping and graphics inputs to the customer’s modeling tools.\n\nConduct technical analysis: Analyze wireless and wireline networks, transmission protocols, and network technologies to inform strategic decisions.\n\nCommunicate findings effectively: Present complex technical analysis to both technical and nontechnical audiences.\n\nTrack emerging technologies: Serve as a key resource for monitoring and interpreting new developments in telecom.\n\nMaintain technical currency: Stay up to date with evolving technologies through ongoing training and skill development.\n\nWork Environment:\nLocation: Chantilly, VA\n\nTravel Requirements: Minimal\n\nWorking Hours: Standard\n\nQualifications:\nRequired:\nSecurity Clearance: Ability to obtain a TS/SCI with a Polygraph\n\nEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics\n\nExperience: Minimum of 6 years\n\nFacility Engineer or Network Planner (TDM/Data): Experience in traditional and data-based telecom infrastructure planning and engineering\n\nLarge-scale network engineering: Proven ability to work across multiple packet fabrics, including platforms like Google B4\n\nCore or Radio Network Engineering: Hands-on experience with 3G, 4G, and/or 5G technologies in core or radio network environments\n\nTelecom route analysis: Skilled in analyzing commercial telecom networks to determine physical and logical routing for strategic objectives\n\nAdvanced network technologies: Demonstrated knowledge of Network Management Systems (NMS), Network Function Virtualization (NFV), and Software Defined Networking (SDN)\n\nNetwork infrastructure expertise: Familiarity with key network elements such as switches, routers, multiplexers, and both wireless and wireline transport systems\n\nStrong analytical skills: Ability to interpret complex data and derive actionable insights\n\nNetwork technology expertise: Demonstrated understanding of a wide range of network technologies\n\nProtocol proficiency: Demonstrated understanding of network protocols and their applications\n\nSystems and equipment knowledge: Demonstrated understanding of networking systems and equipment\n\nPSTN experience: Familiarity with Public Switched Telephone Network operations and infrastructure\n\nData network experience: Hands-on experience with data networks and their architecture\n\nPrivate communications: Experience with dedicated and private communication networks\n\nVoIP and softswitch technologies: Proficiency in VoIP networks, softswitch technology, and session border controllers\n\nFiber optic systems: Knowledge of fiber optic cable characteristics, including engineering, installation, and maintenance\n\nRF technologies: Experience with RF-related technologies and their integration into network systems\n\nGPON technology: Understanding of gigabit-capable passive optical network (GPON) technology\n\nBasic Compensation:\n$160,200 to $195,800\nThis range is for the Virginia area only.\nThe offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.\nAdditional Compensation:\nKBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation.
