Your contributions will have real-world impacts, from improving software resilience to enhancing global communications and security operations in space.\nKey Responsibilities:\nReview and analyze the existing network architecture and provide designs of current/modern WAN/MAN/LAN technologies\nLead the design, implementation, and sustainment of secure, scalable network architectures supporting DoW software applications across development, test, and production environments (e.g., NIPRNet, SIPRNet, JWIC, SAP/SAR and cloud based - platforms).\nRecommend best practices such as SDN, Intent-based networking, and network segmentation protocols, etc., to improve the existing architecture and meet new networking requirements\nWork closely with stakeholders and DoW engineers to design telecommunications circuit specifications\nCollaborate closely with software development, cybersecurity, cloud, and operations teams to integrate networking solutions seamlessly into the application lifecycle, from design through deployment and sustainment.\nServe as the primary technical interface for network-related discussions with government stakeholders, program leadership, and external partners, providing clear communication of risks, tradeoffs, and mitigation strategies.\nGuide the implementation of monitoring, logging, and incident response capabilities for network infrastructure to support operational visibility, cybersecurity detection, and rapid troubleshooting.\nDevelop and enforce network standards, configuration baselines, and best practices aligned with DoW Instructions, enterprise architecture, and programspecific- requirements.\nDevelop and maintain network architecture specifications and artifacts\nDesigns and plans network communications systems.\nProvides specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture.\nConducts cost/benefit analysis and provides specific detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.\nConducts testing of network design.\nResponsible for monitoring network hardware operations to ensure properly set configuration options.\nWorks with stakeholders and product team to plan implementation of enhancements and upgrades to the network.\nAdvises network users of hardware requirements, configurations, and limitations.\nMaintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc.\nEvaluates and reports on new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.\nQualifications\nRequired:\n Clearance: Top Secret with SCI eligibility\nAbility to obtain and maintain a JWIC, SAP/SAR clearance\nRequires 7-9 years of experience with BS/BA\nMinimum 3 years of Cisco experience; proven expertise with Cisco network hardware including: routers, switches, firewalls, unified communications equipment\nProven experience in VMware environments\nProven experience in virtual and physical Internet Protocol and Fiber Channel networks and routing protocols\nProven experience designing, optimizing, and troubleshooting LAN, WAN and low bandwidth networks protected by network encryptors\nProficiency in Automation Tools (e.g., Ansible, Python, or similar)\nExpertise in Software-Defined Networking (SDN)\nExperience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)\nExperience with Change Management Processes to ensure smooth network updates and configurations\nKnowledge of DISN (Department of Defense Information Network), SPARTAN or CANES (Consolidated Afloat Networks and Enterprise Services) systems\nInformation Assurance Certifications consistent with the 8570 IAT Level III (CISSP, CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, GCED, and GCIH)\nStrong problem-solving skills\nExperience with ATO process and procedures\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate risk posture, trends, and recommendations to diverse audiences.\nWorking knowledge of Agile, Agile XP, DevOps, and DevSecOps methodologies\nExperience working with version control systems like Gitlab, Jira and Confluence\nDesired:\nProfessional certification in Cisco, VMware, and/or ITIL\nSPARTAN Networking experience\nBasic Compensation: $150,000 - $170,000 (For Colorado Springs, CO Only)\nThe offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.\nAdditional Compensation:\nKBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation.
