Focusing on cost, schedule and performance, the ideal candidate will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in acquisition management, providing critical support to the development and transition of advanced aircraft systems from AFRL to a DoD Program Office.\nRoles and Responsibilities\nLead and manage acquisition processes for the program, ensuring compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) policies and regulations with the focus being technology transition\nDevelop and maintain acquisition strategies, plans, and documentation\nExperience developing statements of work, CDRL packages and Data Rights/IP\nCoordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, logistics, and finance, to ensure program objectives are met\nProvide expert advice on acquisition matters, including risk management, cost estimation, and contract negotiations\nMonitor program performance and implement corrective actions as necessary\nPrepare and present program status reports to senior leadership and stakeholders\nLead the development and execution of technology transition plans\nWork Environment:\nLocation: Onsite\nTravel Requirements: Minimal\nWorking Hours: Standard\nQualifications:\nRequired:\nBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field;\nMinimum of 7 years of experience in acquisition management within the DoD or a related field\nIn-depth knowledge of DoD acquisition policies, procedures, and regulations\nProven track record of managing complex acquisition programs\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills\nAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment\nActive Secret Clearance\nDesired:\nMaster’s degree\nExperience with aircraft systems or related aerospace programs\nProject Management Professional (PMP) certification\nExperience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and other program management tools\nExperience in writing and responding to Federal and DoD Requests for Proposals (RFPs)\nProgram Management Level II or III DAWIA certification\nKnowledge of DoD 5000.02 and AFLCMC Policies, Processes, and Procedures\nActive TS/SCI\nReady to Make a Difference?\nIf you’re excited about making a significant impact in the field of space defense and working on projects that matter, we encourage you to apply and join our team at KBR.
