Buildings ProjectsJob Title\nProject Engineer I- Buildings Projects\nDivision /Project\nKBR's Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) group is seeking a Project Engineer I - Building & Office Tower Projects to support the planning, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of office towers, administration buildings, control centers, and associated facility infrastructure under PMC contracts.\nPrimary Objectives\nManagement of support services for supervising and directing engineering, procurement and management of construction contractors appointed by the Client.\nEnsure the successful delivery of projects through all phases, including concept design, FEED, detailed engineering, tendering, construction, commissioning, and handover.\nAct as primary technical coordination interface with client to ensure that the client’s expectations are satisfied.\nEnsure the project conforms to the client’s approved Basis of Design and local authority requirements, building regulations, sustainability objectives, and applicable international codes and standards.\nCoordinate architectural, structural, MEP, fire protection, security, ICT, vertical transportation, and interior fit-out disciplines to achieve an integrated design solution\nResponsibilities\nSupport project mobilization, setup, takeover, and handover activities\nSet-up, take over / hand over of projects\nEstablish clear objectives and deliverables for design consultants and engineering teams\nManagement of PMC’s engineering teams during FEED, Prepare and review scopes of work, technical specifications, employer requirements, and tender documentation\nCompilation of the of scope of work documents, technical part of Invitation to Bid documents and the documentation of Project Milestone Reviews\nCoordination of reviews and comments on engineering and other technical deliverables of 3rd party companies like P&IDs, line lists, equipment datasheets, instrumentation index, cable routing, etc. within the agreed review time.\nEnsures compliance with all applicable project standards and specifications\nEnsures proper compilation and updating of as-built documents, redlines, MTOs, loop folders and commissioning binders and handover documentation.\nEnsures the delivery of the as built (End of Job) documentation to the client in time and good quality\nContribution to the development of overall project schedule.\nEnsures work progress as per approved schedule in close cooperation with Project Controls Team\nSet up and regularly maintaining a project dashboard in close cooperation with Project Controls Team\nMonitors with support of the Project Controls Team cost aspects of the project within direct control to forecast final costs, trends and takes action to avoid cost overruns.\nEvaluation of Earned Value / value of work for project completion with support of the Project Controls Team\nBuilds and maintains a healthy relationship with clients and acts as project focal point for the client\nProactively resolves scope and schedule issues with the 3rd party contractor as they arise.\nKnows the contract between the FEED- or EPC-Contractor and between the Client and 3rd party contracts.\nKnowing the PMC Contract between KBR and the Client\nEnsures Change Order recording and participation from project team in technical parts of change order assessment\nRegularly provides input to project reports to internal Project Management and the Clients\nAssessment and feedback of third-party contractor’s project reports\nDefines and communicates team’s priorities such as achievement of milestones and other key project objectives.\nListens to the team, discusses the issues, resolves problems and directs activities to remove roadblocks and achieve objectives.\nEffective communication with the design and engineering teams (inside PMC and third parties) and other project stakeholders like operations, maintenance etc.\nRegularly chairs and records project team meetings within the PMC organisation and with the client and with the 3rd party contractors or consultants.\nResponsibility for preparation and status tracking of all projects related correspondence and transmittals / project documents.\nPerform together with relevant discipline engineers technical bid evaluations (TBE) and award recommendations\nParticipates or delegates participation of discipline engineers in Factory and Site Acceptance Tests\nQualifications including Required Education, Experience, & Skills\nB. Sc.
