Partnering closely with project managers, commercial teams, delivery partners and key stakeholders, you will help ensure project risks are proactively identified, assessed and effectively managed to optimise cost, schedule and performance outcomes.\nThis is an outstanding opportunity to contribute to landmark infrastructure projects while further developing your expertise within one of Australia's leading project delivery organisations.\nKey Responsibilities:\nEstablish, maintain and continuously improve project risk and opportunity registers across major infrastructure projects\n\nFacilitate structured risk identification, assessment and review workshops throughout the project lifecycle\n\nLead and coordinate quantitative risk assessments (QRAs) for project cost and schedule outcomes\n\nPartner with project managers, commercial teams and project controls professionals to integrate risk management into project reporting, forecasting and decision-making\n\nMonitor project risks and opportunities, ensuring clear ownership, mitigation actions and effective treatment strategies are maintained\n\nPrepare risk reporting, dashboards and insights for project leadership, steering committees and governance forums\n\nProvide assurance on the quality and effectiveness of risk management practices, documentation and compliance requirements\n\nSupport delivery partners and consultants in adopting consistent risk management methodologies and frameworks\n\nIdentify emerging risk trends, support lessons learned activities and drive continuous improvement initiatives\n\nPromote a strong risk-aware culture across project teams and stakeholder groups\n\nEnsure risk management activities align with established governance frameworks, escalation protocols and project delivery requirements\n\nContribute to the successful achievement of project schedule, cost and performance objectives through proactive risk management\n\nWhat You’ll Bring:\nTertiary qualification in Engineering, Project Management, Risk Management or a related discipline\n\nDemonstrated experience in risk and opportunity management within large-scale infrastructure or major capital delivery programs\n\nStrong understanding of project controls disciplines, including risk, cost and schedule management\n\nExperience facilitating risk workshops and engaging stakeholders across multidisciplinary project teams\n\nStrong analytical capability, including experience with quantitative risk assessment and risk modelling tools\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present risk information to a range of audiences\n\nProven ability to influence stakeholders and work collaboratively across complex delivery environments\n\nExperience working within public infrastructure, utilities, water, energy or major capital projects will be highly regarded\n\nProfessional risk management certification or accreditation (such as ISO 31000-related qualifications) will be highly regarded\n\nUnderstanding of sustainability, climate resilience or infrastructure asset risk considerations will be beneficial\n\nWhy Join Us?\nYou'll have the opportunity to contribute to major infrastructure programs that deliver long-term benefits for communities and support the sustainability and resilience of essential water services.\nWorking alongside experienced project delivery, project controls and risk professionals, you'll play a key role in helping manage uncertainty, improve project confidence and support successful outcomes across complex and technically challenging programs.\nAt KBR, we invest in our people through challenging project opportunities, ongoing professional development and the opportunity to collaborate with industry-leading experts.
