Aerospace Quality Assurance Engineers ensure that aerospace products and systems meet established standards and requirements. They are involved in the whole production process, from design and manufacturing to testing and delivery, and they work to improve system reliability and safety.\nJob Summary\nDevelop and implement plans to accomplish Quality department objectives that support schedule and meet customer contract objectives.\nRoles and Responsibilities\nWork with and interpret blueprints, drawings, and mil-specs in accordance with government and/or customer contract requirements.\nMonitor status of NC’s and MRB activities to ensure milestones are accomplished.\nIdentify problems in production related to NC’s and assure a plan is developed in coordination with other operating departments for implementing corrective actions. Initiate corrective action, if appropriate.\nProvide leadership on quality issues concerning both customers and internal to assure effective cause, corrective and preventive action; monitor for continued effectiveness.\nParticipate in program reviews and product cell meetings.\nSupport Quality Department FAI inspection activities.\nServe as liaison between MRB and management to ensure requirements, cost and schedule are maintained. May be required to develop and present quality metrics management.\nAssist in the development and presentation of training programs, as needed.\nFollow standard departmental and company procedures as outlined by management.\nBasic Qualifications\n3 to 5 years of quality assurance experience in quality assurance or related responsibilities, or AS degree in related technical field and 4 to 7 years of experience in quality assurance or related responsibilities.\n\nBroad knowledge of a general technical field such as quality assurance or quality engineering.\n\nWorking knowledge of ISO 9001 or AS9100 regulations.\n\nWorking knowledge of ISO 9001 or AS9100 regulations.\n\nmust be a US citizen.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in engineering, Business or Technical discipline preferred with applicable experience.\n\nWorking knowledge of aerospace quality practices and industry standards.\n\nStrong computer skills with high level proficiency in Microsoft Office tools such as Excel and PowerPoint as well as comfortability working with virtual communication and meeting tools such as Teams or similar.\n\nStrong communication skills both verbal and written.\n\nExperience with project management and facilitation.\n\nAbility to interface effectively with all levels of leadership.\n\nAbility to identify risks and mitigating actions to achieve positive results.\n\nEffective interpersonal skills to interface within and between culturally diverse organizations, data, define actions, and implement solutions.\n\nDemonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for implementing solutions.\n\nKnowledge and application of statistical analysis methods is preferred.\n\nExcellent team building skills, creating constructive and open environments for sharing data.\n\nExperience with Aerospace products.\n\nDemonstrated leadership capability to drive step change improvements in quality performance.\n\nDemonstrated ability to lead complex projects and manage the activities of multi-disciplinary teams.\n\nProven problem-solving skills, including ability to interpret data, define actions, and implement solutions.\n\nDemonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for implementing solutions.\n\nAdept in soliciting facts and opinions from all team members and creating a constructive and open environment for sharing data.\n\nCapable of making fact-based decisions and communicating with team members as to why certain facts or recommendations prevailed over others.\n\nHOURLY: $40-45\nKBR Benefits\nKBR offers a selection of competitive lifestyle benefits which could include 401K plan with company match, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, AD&D, flexible spending account, disability, paid time off, or flexible work schedule.
