With a global presence and a strong ethical framework, KBR ensures secure, effective, and mission-ready capabilities worldwide.\nJob Summary\nThe Radar Engineer is responsible to support radar system design and analysis and be familiar with radar capabilities such as array signal and data processing, clutter mitigation, electronic protection, search/track performance, classification and identification, etc. This candidate would use technical expertise on Radar to develop concepts and designs, evaluate feasibility of new technologies, as well as troubleshoot and resolve design, development, and operations issues. Assist the USG customer in Radar Spectrum analysis, Radio Frequency Authorization (RFA) and AIMS IFF Certification. Additional responsibilities include supporting the government development of the appropriate application process (DD 1494) for spectrum approval, supporting the development of applications for AIMS certification process for IFF components, and system integration with appropriate C2 systems. Successful applicant should have a background in radar concept, design, spectrum, and signal analysis. An understanding of Radar Spectrum radiation requirements and impact is desired. An understanding of Assured Position, Navigation, and Timing (APNT) interface definition and requirements is also desired.\nRoles and Responsibilities\nThis candidate would use technical expertise on Radar to develop concepts and designs, evaluate feasibility of new technologies, as well as troubleshoot and resolve design, development, and operations issues.\nParticipate and represent the customer in various Government and contractor meetings and attend contractor programmatic and technical reviews (e.g., PMR, PDR, CDR, and other meetings) to provide technical and programmatic-based system recommendations and risk assessments.\nProvide proactive support to the Government customer and tasks.\nDevelop productive relationships with Prime/Subcontractor counterparts, functional counterparts, and other subject matter experts.\nAuthor, review, and coordinate documents and data to aid the Government in decision-making.\nFrequent interaction with government, SETA, and external stakeholders.\nOther roles and responsibilities include:\nRepresent STARE in Integrated Fires (IF) Systems Engineering Spectrum and IFF Working Groups and other RF related meetings/working groups\nFacilitate stakeholder agreements on spectrum and IFF related support packages\nBasic Qualifications\nMS in Electrical Engineering with emphasis in radar systems.\nAn active SECRET clearance with ability to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET clearance is desired.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with defense radar systems\nExperience in high fidelity RF spectrum and radar models\nExperience with IFF and Position Navigation and Timing\nBelong, Connect and Grow at KBR\nAt KBR, we are passionate about our people and our Zero Harm culture.
