In this position, your work will have a profound impact on the country’s most critical role - protecting our national security.\nWhy Join Us?\nInnovative Projects: KBR’s work is at the forefront of engineering, logistics, operations, science, program management, mission IT and cybersecurity solutions.\n\nCollaborative Environment: Be part of a dynamic team that thrives on collaboration and innovation, fostering a supportive and intellectually stimulating workplace.\n\nImpactful Work: Your contributions will be pivotal in designing and optimizing defense systems that ensure national security and shape the future of space defense.\n\nJob Posting Description\nKBR is looking for a Radar Research Engineer to join our team in Chantilly, Virginia.\nIn this role, you will push the boundaries of Synthetic Aperture Radar and Moving Target Indication processing techniques.\nResponsibilities:\nPrimarily, candidate conducts research SAR and MTI processing and algorithm development\n\nCandidate provides technical analyses and support in developing and applying advanced methods, theories and research techniques on R&D through operational support projects.\n\nProvide demonstrated skill in conceiving, planning and conducting research and analysis in difficult technological problem areas of considerable scope and complexity requiring unconventional or novel approaches and sophisticated research techniques.\n\nCandidates will have demonstrated an ability to make decisions independently on research and development (R&D) engineering problems and methods, in resolving important questions, and planning and coordinating work.\n\nSupport algorithm and analytical development using a variety of scientific programming languages (for example C, C++, Python, FORTRAN and MATLAB) to process synthetic aperture radar data (SAR) and Moving Target Indicator (MTI).
