In this position, your work will have a profound impact on the country’s most critical role - protecting our national security.\nWhy Join Us?\nInnovative Projects: KBR’s work is at the forefront of engineering, logistics, operations, science, program management, mission IT and cybersecurity solutions.\n\nCollaborative Environment: Be part of a dynamic team that thrives on collaboration and innovation, fostering a supportive and intellectually stimulating workplace.\n\nImpactful Work: Your contributions will be pivotal in designing and optimizing defense systems that ensure national security and shape the future of space defense.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\nParticipate in systems engineering teams on concurrent development projects, often with overlapping technical objectives for product design and performance.\n\nSupport translation of user needs and customer problem statements into requirements to be addressed with innovative technical solutions.\n\nCollaborate with teammates of diverse background levels and disciplines to analyze and develop solutions, often realized in the form of algorithms, and validate these solutions through modeling, simulation, and application to experimental/collected data.\n\nImplement, using software such as MATLAB or Python, advanced signal and image processing algorithms and conduct evaluations in the context of state-of-the-art remote sensing systems and advanced sensor designs, including radar and electro-optical systems.\n\nDocument and present results to teammates and customers.\n\nQualifications:\nRequired:\nEducation: Academic degree in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, Applied Mathematics, or Computer Science, with accompanying years of relevant experience as indicated\n\nMaster’s + 2 years of experience (internship or co-op accepted)\n\nDemonstrated background, relevant experience, or technical interest in the development of remote sensing technologies (systems, software)\n\nDemonstrable successful performance in systems engineering and development\n\nExperience with scientific/engineering development languages, such as MATLAB and/or Python\n\nWork Style: Ability to work independently and in a team environment\n\nCommunication Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills\n\nAbility to obtain TS/SCI Security clearance is required to be considered for the role\n\nDesired:\nClearance: Active TOP SECRET security clearance; active SCI access is a plus\n\nEarned Ph.D. in one of the listed degree programs\n\nProficiency in MATLAB and/or Python programming languages\n\nExperience with C++ software language and development in C++\n\nReady to Make a Difference?\nIf you’re excited about making a significant impact in the field of space defense and working on projects that matter, we encourage you to apply and join our team at KBR.
