Working with a high-performing team, you’ll lead technical design, manage competing requirements, and contribute to projects delivered safely, on time and within budget.\nYou’ll be responsible for producing and overseeing high-quality design outputs, including calculations, specifications, reports and documentation, while ensuring compliance with Austroads, DIT and Australian Standards. From developing stormwater management plans to navigating complex design challenges, you’ll bring sound engineering judgement and innovation to every stage of delivery.\nBeyond technical delivery, you’ll step into a key leadership role-mentoring junior engineers, guiding project teams and reviewing deliverables to ensure quality and consistency. You’ll also build and maintain strong client relationships and contribute to project success through clear, well-structured proposals and reporting.\nAbout You:\nYou’re a confident and capable civil engineer who thrives on delivering complex infrastructure projects and leading teams to success. You bring a strong technical foundation, commercial awareness and a collaborative mindset.\nDegree in Engineering (Civil or equivalent) with 7+ years’ experience\n\nChartered Engineer (CPEng) with Engineers Australia\n\nDemonstrated experience delivering infrastructure projects across land development and/or building civil works\n\nStrong knowledge of Austroads, DIT and Australian Standards\n\nBackground within an engineering consultancy environment\n\nProven ability to lead design outcomes and mentor team members\n\nStrong understanding of commercial arrangements and project delivery\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\n\nA strong commitment to health, safety and quality\n\nAustralian Permanent Residency or Citizenship (Preferred for Defence related projects).\n\nWhy Join Us?\nAt KBR, you’ll be part of a forward-thinking team delivering some of Australia’s most complex infrastructure projects.
