You will join a systems engineering team defining the next generation of space communication systems supporting US Space Force (USSF) satellite communications. You will support Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) activities in a multidisciplinary and collaborative environment. You will interface and collaborate with SE&I team members, contractors, government civilians and members of the USSF. You will lead and support several working groups responsible for leading technical discussion, resolve and identify risk, requirement gaps, developing briefings, writing, and tracking action items, and authoring meeting minutes.\nThe MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (MSEIT) effort provides leading edge Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) for the US Space Force’s Space Systems Center (SSC). The design decisions you will make in this position will have a direct and lasting impact on the success of the entire software team and organization.\nThe DevOps Engineer will work directly with internal and external stakeholders to understand evolving requirements and identify key technologies and architecture design patterns used by the team.\nStand up agile development teams and will oversee the instantiation of DevOps pipelines in both on-prem and cloud environments.\nWork Environment:\nLocation: On-site\nTravel Requirements: Minimal\nWorking Hours: Standard\nQualifications:\nRequired:\nSecurity Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance is required for this position\n Experience and Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science, or related technical degree\n5+ years of DevOps software development and infrastructure design.\nProficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.\nAbility to design, implement, and manage secure cloud infrastructure solutions (AWS, Azure).\nProficiency in implementing, maintaining, and managing CI/CD pipelines with security scanning tools and best practices, including container image scanning and dependency vulnerability management.\nUnderstanding of Zero Trust and secure software supply-chain principles.\nExperience administering and troubleshooting Kubernetes clusters in product environments.\nExperience deploying applications using Helm and ArgoCD.\nExperience with Infrastructure as Code solutions including Terraform, OpenTofu, CloudFormation, and similar.\nExperience implementing observability solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, ELK Stack, Open Telemetry, or similar platforms.\nExcellent problem-solving skills.\nStrong passion for conducting research, tackling complex problems, and continuously learning and adopting new technologies.\nOrganization capability with ability to handle competing priorities.\nStrong interpersonal skills, communication (oral and written), and presentation skills.\nProficient in Microsoft Office products (Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)\nDesired:\nActive Secret or higher clearance\nMaster’s degree in engineering or computer science, or related technical degree\nExperience with CI/CD on classified software development networks.\nActive cybersecurity certification such as CompTIA Security+, CySA+, CASP+, CISSP, Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS), or comparable credential.\nINCOSE certification, such as CSEP or ESEP\nBasic Compensation: $126,900 to $158,600 in El Segundo, CA\nThe offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.\nReady to Make a Difference?
