As the Air Force's leader for National-to-Tactical capability development, AFRL collaborates with leading experts across the Intelligence Community, Department of Defense, National Laboratories, industry, inter-agency, academia, and partner nations.\nKey Responsibilities:\nBuild and deploy helm charts to Kubernetes clusters\nDevelop GitLab CI/CD pipelines to build, scan, publish, and deploy containers and helm charts.\nTroubleshoot failed deployments and pipelines.\nContainerize custom applications.\nDesign high-level architecture for cloud-native networks and systems.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to support a variety of tech stacks\nWork Environment:\nLocation: Colorado Springs, CO - Onsite\nTravel Requirements: Minimal\nWorking Hours: Flexible\nQualifications:\nRequired:\nSecurity Clearance: Must have an active U.S. Government TS/SCI security clearance, which is something only a U.S. citizen can obtain\n Education: B.S. in Computer Science. Other degrees will be considered with relevant work experience or certification.\nDoD 8140 Cyber Workforce qualification (Security+ or equivalent)\n3+ years of experience with deep knowledge in one or more of the following fields:Cloud Engineering\nPipeline engineering\nKubernetes development\n\nProficient in Kubernetes\nExperience writing Dockerfiles and containerizing applications.\n3+ years of experience with GNU/Linux commands, shell navigation, and Git version control.\nAbility to research and solve complex technical problems independently.\nDesired:\nKubernetes and Cloud Native Associate (KCNA) certification or similar\nExperience with AWS or Azure cloud services, certification (AWS Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals or similar) is preferred.\nCompetence in building pipelines, preferably with GitLab.\nExperience delivering a cloud native application.\nFamiliarity with OAuth2, OIDC flows, or KeyCloak.\nExperience with IaC tools, especially Terraform.\nExperience deploying to air-gapped networks.\nExperience with Cert Manager, OpenSSL, and Public Key Infrastructure.\nExperience with event streaming services, especially Kafka.\nBasic Compensation: $115,600 - $173,300 (For Colorado Springs Only)\nThe offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.\nAdditional Compensation:\nKBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation.
