We will encourage and empower you to work in a way that suits your style and look forward to discussing the ways in which we can build success.\nThe Opportunity\nTo support our existing portfolio of national projects, we are looking for a Senior Fire Safety Engineer to join our Infrastructure Buildings and Defence team.\nYou’ll be joining a growing team of fire safety engineers with all the backing a multi-discipline engineering consultancy firm can offer.\nYou’ll be asked to drive the fire safety strategy and shape design for projects large and small, together with both internal and external stakeholders across our expanding national portfolio of buildings, defence, industry, and transport infrastructure projects.\nMany of our projects sit outside the explicit scope of the BCA, which is why first-principal engineering, holistic thinking, and best-for-project problem-solving is essential, where you’ll have a real opportunity for design influence and shape how fire safety engineering should be done.\nEmbracing technology\nDesign - and design documentation - for us is more than reports, which is why we believe in fire safety being in the BIM environment, together and integrated with all the other design disciplines. With the aim of providing authority-ready and buildable design packages, fire safety drawings are natural deliverable for us, while naturally also adopting the analytic and simulation software the 21st century has to offer.\nWho are you?\nBelieve in holistic fire safety design and a team approach, and are not afraid of raising the bar\nAre a technically strong, experienced fire safety engineer and consultant with ~10 years or more in your backpack\nHave academic qualifications in fire safety\nAre a chartered engineer, alternatively eligible for chartership\nAs a function of the work that we do, it is a key requirement that you are an Australian citizen and either hold or are eligible for, security clearance with the Australian Defence.\nKBR Infrastructure Solutions\nKBR’s Infrastructure Solutions Australia business offers a wide range of professional services to private and public sector clients delivering projects in both urban and remote environments across transport, water, environment, buildings and Defence.\nWe are committed to social and environmental sustainability and delivering projects with a digital mindset that drives innovation within our business, for our customers and stakeholders.
