We Deliver - Together.\nThe Opportunity:\nAre you passionate about logistics, inventory management, and supporting complex Defence projects? We are seeking a motivated Senior Inventory Officer to join our team at Victoria Barracks, Melbourne, where you'll play a vital role in supporting the delivery and introduction into service of critical Defence capabilities.\nAs an Senior Inventory Officer, you will be responsible for providing inventory management, codification, cataloguing, and logistics support across a range of Land projects. You will play a key role in ensuring Defence equipment is accurately accounted for, brought into service, and successfully transitioned to operational units.\nWorking within a high-performing project team, you'll collaborate closely with Integrated Logistics Support Managers (ILSMs), Project Managers, Engineers, and Defence stakeholders to help deliver successful project outcomes.\nResponsibilities:\nManage codification and cataloguing activities for Defence equipment and system components.\nProcess External Purchase Orders (EPOs) within MILIS to bring equipment into inventory and on charge.\nCoordinate the issue of equipment to Defence units through MILIS to support capability introduction into service.\nSupport the development and maintenance of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) documentation and project data items.\nWork closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Defence customers, and functional teams to ensure inventory and logistics activities are delivered effectively.\nAssist with Through Life Support and sustainment activities across major Defence capability projects.\nMaintain accurate inventory records and contribute to inventory management best practice.\nProvide general project and logistics support as required by project leadership.\nContribute to a safe, collaborative, and high-performing work environment.\nAs the ideal candidate you will bring:\nExperience in inventory management, logistics, supply chain, or Defence materiel management.\nKnowledge of Defence inventory systems, particularly MILIS, or similar inventory management platforms.\nExperience with codification, cataloguing, asset management, or logistics support activities.\nStrong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate inventory records.\nExcellent organisational and stakeholder engagement skills.\nThe ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced project environment.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office and SAP ERP\nExperience supporting Defence projects or sustainment activities will be highly regarded.\nAll candidates will be required to hold and maintain an active NV1 Defence Security Clearance.
