At KBR, We Deliver.\nKBR is looking for a Senior Network Administrator.\nThe Senior Network Administrator is responsible for the administration, maintenance, security, and operational reliability of enterprise network infrastructure supporting KBR operations. The role provides advanced technical administration across network, connectivity, security, and related infrastructure platforms, ensuring the availability, performance, and resilience of critical services.\nThe position requires deep technical knowledge of enterprise networking technologies, the ability to resolve complex operational issues, and the capability to work independently with minimal guidance. The role contributes directly to service stability, operational excellence, and infrastructure modernization initiatives while acting as a technical resource for colleagues within the team.\nThis role does not include supervisory or people management accountability.\nKey Responsibilities\nNetwork Administration\nAdminister enterprise network infrastructure, including:LAN, WAN, wireless, and data centre networking platforms\nRouting and switching technologies\nSoftware-defined networking and SD-WAN environments\nNetwork access control and identity-aware networking services\n\nInstall, configure, maintain, and upgrade network infrastructure in accordance with operational standards.\nPerform routine lifecycle management activities, including software updates, hardware maintenance, and technology refresh activities.\nMaintain accurate network documentation, configuration standards, and operational records.\nNetwork Security & Connectivity\nAdminister and support enterprise network security technologies, including firewalls, VPN services, and secure remote-access solutions.\nMaintain network segmentation, access control, and secure connectivity frameworks.\nSupport vulnerability remediation and implementation of network security controls.\nEnsure network services comply with organisational security standards and governance requirements.\nData Centre & Cloud Networking\nSupport enterprise data centre networking environments and associated connectivity services.\nAdminister load balancing and application delivery platforms.\nSupport hybrid cloud and cloud networking services.\nMaintain reliable connectivity between on-premises infrastructure, cloud platforms, remote locations, and hosted environments.\nSupport network architecture and capacity growth initiatives.\nInfrastructure Integration\nCollaborate with server, storage, backup, cloud, and cybersecurity teams to ensure reliable infrastructure operations.\nSupport infrastructure services where networking dependencies exist.\nMaintain a working understanding of compute, virtualisation, storage, and application dependencies to support effective troubleshooting and escalation.\nContribute to infrastructure availability, resilience, and recovery initiatives.\nOperational Support\nMonitor network health, availability, performance, and capacity using established operational tools and procedures.\nDiagnose and resolve complex networking and infrastructure incidents.\nSupport incident, problem, and change management processes.\nParticipate in major incident investigations and root-cause analysis activities.\nMaintain technical documentation, operational runbooks, and support procedures.\nRecovery, Resilience & Security\nSupport network-related disaster recovery and resilience initiatives.\nParticipate in infrastructure recovery testing and operational readiness activities.\nMaintain network configurations and controls that support business continuity objectives.\nEnsure network services remain compliant with organisational security and audit requirements.\nCollaboration & Technical Contribution\nWork independently on assigned systems and operational activities.\nCollaborate with related IT teams, service providers, and project teams to resolve technical issues.\nAct as a technical resource and provide guidance to colleagues with less experience.\nContribute to operational improvements, technical standards, and infrastructure modernization initiatives.\nSupport project delivery and technology implementation activities as required.\nQualifications, Skills and Experience\nTechnical Skills & Experience\nStrong hands-on experience supporting enterprise networking environments.\nExperience with routing, switching, network segmentation, and secure connectivity technologies.\nExperience with network access control, identity-aware networking, and enterprise security platforms.\nExperience supporting firewall technologies, VPN solutions, and secure remote access services.\nExperience with load balancing and application delivery technologies.\nExperience supporting cloud networking and hybrid connectivity solutions.\nExperience supporting enterprise infrastructure environments including Windows, Linux, and virtualisation platforms.\nFamiliarity with structured IT operational environments and service management processes.\nExperience troubleshooting complex networking and infrastructure-related issues.\nProfessional Capability\nAble to work independently with minimal supervision.\nDemonstrated ability to analyse and resolve complex technical problems.\nExercises sound technical judgement using multiple sources of information.\nStrong operational discipline and attention to detail.\nEffective written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.\nEducation & Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Information
