At KBR, We Deliver.\nWe are seeking an experienced Senior Subsea Pipeline Engineer to join our growing consulting team at KBR's Leatherhead office. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong engineer to work on high-profile, complex subsea pipeline projects across multiple stages of development, while contributing to a collaborative and forward-thinking team.\nThe role is based in our Leatherhead office, 40 hours per week, with hybrid working potentially available.\nKey Responsibilities\nDeliver high-quality technical work across subsea pipeline engineering projects at various stages of development.\nLead and contribute to feasibility, concept and FEED studies for offshore and subsea pipeline systems.\nPerform and oversee detailed engineering design of subsea pipelines in accordance with ASME B31 series and DNVGL standards, including:Wall thickness design\nOn-bottom stability\nFree span analysis\nGlobal buckling\nBottom roughness assessment\nEnd expansion\nStress analysis\n\nDesign of spools and rigid risers.\nPipeline routing studies and preparation of specifications and datasheets.\nSupervise and check work performed by other engineers and draughtsmen.\nApply engineering judgement to identify risks, opportunities and solutions on complex subsea challenges.\nSupport and mentor junior engineers within the team.\nLiaise effectively with other engineering disciplines and deputise for the lead engineer in client meetings where required.\nContribute to proposal preparation and business development activities.\nEngage with clients and stakeholders at a technical level, building trusted long-term relationships.\nEssential Requirements\nDegree in Engineering (or equivalent).\nExtensive years of experience in pipeline engineering and subsea pipelines.\nStrong technical knowledge across subsea pipeline design, analysis and delivery to ASME B31 and DNVGL standards.\nProven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously (up to 5 at a time) and deliver to strict deadlines.\nExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal.\nAbility to work independently and manage competing priorities.\nDesirable\nChartered Engineer status (or actively working towards it).\nExperience working within both operator and contractor organisations.\nSubsea pipeline construction experience.\nDeepwater project experience.\nFinite element analysis (FEA) capability, including experience with Caesar II and Mathcad.\nExperience writing technical proposals.\nExperience leading or mentoring small engineering teams.\nPapers published at technical conferences.\nKBR Company Information\nWhen you become part of the KBR team, your opportunities are endless.
