The ADNOC PMC project role would be based initially in Client Office in Abu Dhabi\nJob Purpose\nThe Senior Planning Engineer is responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring the project schedule during the FEED phase of offshore oil & gas projects. The role ensures effective planning, scheduling, and progress tracking aligned with project objectives, client requirements, and industry best practices.\nKey Responsibilities\nProject Planning & Scheduling\nDevelop and maintain detailed FEED project schedules using Primavera P6 or equivalent tools.\n Establish Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) aligned with project scope and deliverables.\nDefine project milestones, critical paths, and key deliverable timelines.\nIntegrate engineering, procurement, and interface activities into the master schedule.\nSchedule Monitoring & Control\nMonitor project progress against baseline schedules and highlight deviations.\nPerform critical path analysis and identify potential delays and risks.\nDevelop mitigation and recovery plans to ensure project timelines are met.\nTrack engineering deliverables and ensure alignment with FEED timelines.\nPMC Oversight / Contractor Coordination\nReview EPC contractor schedules for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.\n Ensure contractors adhere to project planning procedures and ADNOC standards (if applicable).\nInterface with engineering disciplines to ensure schedule alignment.\nParticipate in schedule review meetings and provide planning insights.\nProgress Measurement & Reporting\nDevelop progress measurement systems and track project performance.\nPrepare weekly and monthly progress reports including: Schedule performance indices (SPI)\nMilestone tracking\nCritical issues and risks\n\nPrepare dashboards and presentations for senior management and client stakeholders.\nRisk Management & Forecasting\n Identify schedule risks and conduct risk analysis (qualitative/quantitative).\nSupport development of mitigation strategies and contingency plans.\n Conduct look-ahead planning (2-week / 4-week rolling plans).\nInterface & Coordination\nCoordinate closely with: Engineering teams (multi-discipline)\n Project controls (cost, risk)\nProcurement and HSE teams\n\nEnsure proper integration of FEED scope across all disciplines and packages.\nDocumentation & Compliance\nEnsure adherence to project planning procedures and standards.\nMaintain schedule baselines, revisions, and change logs.\n Support audit requirements and ensure compliance with client (e.g., ADNOC) processes.\nQualifications & Experience\nEducation\nBachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent\n Additional certification in Project Management (PMP / PRINCE2) is an advantage\nTechnical Expertise\nStrong proficiency in planning tools: Primavera P6 (mandatory)\n MS Project (optional)\n\nSolid understanding of FEED and EPC project lifecycles\nKnowledge of engineering deliverables and dependencies\nKey Skills & Competencies\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\n Excellent knowledge of critical path method (CPM) and scheduling techniques\nEffective communication and stakeholder management\nHigh attention to detail and ability to manage complex schedules\nAbility to work in fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environments\nExperience\nMinimum Overall 15+ years of experience in the oil and gas sector.\nMinimum 5-7 years in offshore FEED / detailed engineering projects.\n10-15+ years of experience in planning/scheduling within oil & gas projects\n Prior experience working in PMC roles and ADNOC Offshore projects is highly
