In this position you will work on specification and design engineering related to structures and foundations made of concrete, steel, wood, composites, other engineered products. Structures you may work on in this role include buildings, platforms, stations, retention and drainage structures, pipe racks and similar infrastructure. You will guide and mentor juniors while having direct client exposure.\nWhilst in the role you will devise new approaches to problems encountered. Tasks will include both design of small straightforward assignments and assistance in design of larger and more complex assignments, both of which involve conventional engineering plans, innovative solutions, investigations and surveys.\nWho are you?\nAs a Senior Structural Engineer you will be able to perform all conventional aspects of structural engineering. You will be able to evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgment in making relevant adaptions and modifications.\nKey Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:\nPerform structural calculations and analysis in accordance with Australian Standards to support design projects.\n\nAssist in preparing tender documents, including scopes, inclusions/exclusions, and estimates for design and documentation efforts.\n\nParticipate in project meetings, briefings, and discussions, sharing insights and ensuring information flows effectively.\n\nDevelop design documentation, including marking up and sketching concepts to communicate design intent clearly.\n\nReview project drawings and documentation, identifying areas for improvement to ensure high-quality deliverables.\n\nWho are we?\nKBR’s Infrastructure Solutions Australia business offers a wide range of professional services to private and public sector clients delivering projects in both urban and remote environments across transport, water, environment, buildings and defence.\nWe are committed to social and environmental sustainability and delivering projects with a digital mindset that drives innovation within our business, for our customers and stakeholders.
