The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and maintaining requirements, interfaces, test and verification plans and system integration plans based upon space defense kill chains to enable capability gap analysis and evaluation of future system performance. This work will be conducted at the SCI and SAP levels.\nThe Senior Systems Engineer will support the Special Programs Directorate for the Space Systems Center (SSC) in El Segundo, CA. This position requires a current TS/SCI eligibility. The successful candidate must also be clearable to SAP.\nKey Responsibilities:\nInterface with the customer and provide end-to-end mission architecture system capability/requirements to achieve a desired mission effect, physics-based System of Systems performance assessment, digital engineering and modeling support that includes technical and programmatic analysis/assessment related to requirements for current and future Space Control programs.\nConduct and develop products in IPTs and Working Groups that address the design/development, production, and integration of Space Control systems\nBuild an understand of the adversarial threats-based kill chains facing US space assets\nFacilitate/develop/present resolution of issues related to system-of-systems integration\nDevelop and maintain mission architecture interface requirements for Space Control programs\nDevelop system-of-systems verification plans and trace verification plans to test events\nDevelop system integration plans for end-to-end system capability\nCollect, analyze, and report on data collected during system-of-systems integration events\nRequired Qualifications:\nActive TS/SCI is required to be considered for this position\nBS in engineering or computer science or equivalent experience\nMission Engineering experience is a plus\n10+ years of relevant technical experience in aerospace\n5+ years in space system requirements analysis and allocation\nExperience with Model Based Systems Engineering methods and tools\nIndependent problem solving with a variety of mission architecture systems engineering abilities, including knowledge and experience in requirements development, analysis, verification, and test.\nAbility to work effectively with customers and program stakeholders and have robust written and verbal communication skills.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nCandidate must have excellent oral/written communication skills and customer relationship skills\nCandidate must be an independent problem solver, comfortable in a fast paced environment and be able to quickly adapt to emerging requirements and changing priorities\nMaster’s degree in engineering\nExperience with classified programs\nMission Engineering experience is a plus\nSpace system design, development, production, integration & test, and/or certification experience\nScheduled Weekly Hours: 40\nBasic Compensation: $150- 190k\nThe offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.\nAdditional Compensation:\nKBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation.
