In this role, you will leverage your expertise to support physics-based modeling and simulation efforts (including tools development) for satellite system resiliency. As a key member of our on-site SETA team, you will play a vital role in contributing to mission success through ensuring resilient mission capabilities.\nThis position supports a System Program Office (SPO) where you will work seamlessly with other government and team members in a challenging work environment support the Customer’s acquisitions lifecycle, systems engineering & integration, while delivering mission excellence to programs of national importance.\nWhy Join Us?\nInnovative Projects: KBR’s work is at the forefront of engineering, logistics, operations, science, program management, mission IT and cybersecurity solutions.\n\nCollaborative Environment: Be part of a dynamic team that thrives on collaboration and innovation, fostering a supportive and intellectually stimulating workplace.\n\nImpactful Work: Your contributions will be pivotal in designing and optimizing defense systems that ensure national security and shape the future of space defense.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\nWork in a collaborative team environment studying and analyzing a wide variety of problems in the Space domain.\n\nIdentify Agile solution and program epics with acceptance criteria and ensure prime development and subcontractors align to government requirements.\n\nOptimize pre-increment planning and iterative integration demos via Agile software development best practices.\n\nAssess developer performance by analyzing contract deliverables for demonstrations and oversee testing for achieving pertinent objectives.\n\nAnalyze developer recommendations for software enhancements across cloud, on premises, and HPC environments.\n\nWrite Statements of Work for upcoming systems acquisitions\n\nAdvise Contracting Officer Technical Representative (COTR) on developer performance through cost, schedule, and performance analysis and evaluation.\n\nIdentify risks and provide unique courses of action to solve complex technical problems.\n\nReview contractor submissions for technical accuracy and provide government personnel detailed critical analysis.\n\nOrganize and execute tools demonstrations to the user community (one to two times per year)\n\nBasic Compensation:\n$150,000 - $187,000 USD annually\nThe offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.\nWork Environment:\nLocation: On-site\n\nTravel Requirements: Minimal travel\n\nWorking Hours: Standard\n\nQualifications:\nRequired:\nClearance: Must have an active/current TS/SCI with a Polygraph\n\nBachelor of Science STEM degree and 9 years of relative experience or a Master’s and 7 or more years of relative experience.\n\nPossess the ability to communicate, coordinate, and engage customer independently.\n\nAbility to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and small team environment.\n\nDemonstrated ability to operate successfully both independently and as a team-member.\n\nAbility to communicate with clarity and accuracy both verbally and written.\n\nDemonstrate familiarity in the functional mission areas and key intelligence issues.\n\nDesired:\nExperience with physics-based modeling and simulation techniques and tools\n\nExperience with AI/ML applications\n\nKnowledge of intelligence production cycle, limitations, and when to apply engineering judgment\n\nReady to Make a Difference?\nIf you’re excited about making a significant impact in the field of space defense and working on projects that matter, we encourage you to apply and join our team at KBR.
