These include world-class licensed process technologies, differentiated advisory services, deep technical domain expertise, energy transition solutions, high-end design and engineering capabilities, and smart solutions to optimize planned and operating assets.\n Job Title: Specialist Process Engineer - Offshore Project\nKBR Abu Dhabi PMC Team is currently looking to fill a position of Specialist Process Engineer for an Offshore Project to be based in UAE ( Abu Dhabi) in the EPC Contractor’s office.\nJob Purpose\nThe Specialist Process Engineer is responsible for providing advanced process engineering expertise for the design, modification, integration, and commissioning of offshore water injection facilities. The role ensures safe, reliable, and efficient process design and operation while supporting brownfield modifications and maintaining compliance with client specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.\nKey Responsibilities\nProcess Engineering & Design\nLead process engineering activities for offshore water injection systems and associated facilities.\nDevelop and review Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Process Design Basis, and Engineering Calculations.\nPerform hydraulic calculations, equipment sizing, process simulations, and system performance evaluations.\nReview and optimize water injection system design for efficiency, reliability, and operability.\nSupport process optimization and debottlenecking studies.\nSafety & Risk Management\nParticipate in HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, LOPA, and other process safety studies.\nEnsure compliance with company process safety management requirements.\nConduct process risk assessments and provide mitigation measures.\nSupport Management of Change (MOC) activities for brownfield modifications.\nEngineering Coordination\nCoordinate with multidisciplinary teams including Mechanical, Piping, Instrumentation, Electrical, and Operations.\nProvide technical support during detailed engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.\nReview vendor documents and technical proposals.\nResolve process engineering issues arising during project execution.\nBrownfield & Offshore Support\nPerform feasibility studies and brownfield engineering assessments.\nSupport tie-in engineering and shutdown planning activities.\nEvaluate existing offshore facilities for integration of new water injection systems.\nConduct offshore site surveys and technical reviews when required.\nCommissioning & Operations Support\nDevelop process commissioning procedures.\nSupport pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup, and performance testing activities.\nTroubleshoot process upsets and operational challenges.\nAssist operations teams in achieving production and injection targets.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or Process Engineering.\nMaster's Degree is an added advantage.\nChartered Engineer (CEng) or equivalent professional registration preferred.\nExperience\n15 -
