The program focuses on ensuring operational readiness, reliability, and safety of automotive and ground support equipment critical to Army operations.\nUnder this contract, personnel provide maintenance, repair, overhaul, and sustainment support in accordance with Army technical manuals, safety standards, and performance requirements.\nJob Summary\nAs a Senior Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Specialist you will be implementing health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and fostering a culture of safety within the organization. Your responsibilities will include incident investigations and reports, inspections, and ensuring compliance with HSE standards in alignment with client, federal, state, and local regulations, as well as KBR policies and procedures. You will engage with various stakeholders, including services personnel, clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies, interpreting standards, codes, and regulations. Additionally, you will contribute to the development and implementation of KBR values, systems, and standards, facilitating the collection and analysis of HSE statistics.\nThis position is contingent upon award\nRoles and Responsibilities\nProvide support and leadership to the team to achieve HSE initiative objectives through the identification of critical, high and medium risk processes and support the development and implementation of appropriate controls along with internal and external stakeholder management. \nSupport the delivery and implementation of functional objectives by providing leadership and direction to team members. \nDevelop and maintain reporting requirements to ensure key HSE information is shared within the business. \nRecognize and make recommendations to the business based on trends identified in key data and statistics.\nDevelop and deliver training for zero harm and safety culture programs as well as procedural and legislative requirements. \nTrack and monitor key performance indicators for each location office and management. \nAudit and follow-up with corrective actions on both internal customers, project and subcontractors.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nBasic Qualifications\nRequires a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field, and at least 5 years of directly related HSE experience. A High School Diploma and 7 years of HSE experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.\nHold advanced certification as safety specialist or practitioner from a nationally accredited, certification body such as the Board of Certified Safety Professionals, American Board of Industrial Hygiene NEBOSH, or equivalent.\nMust have an in-depth knowledge of KBR HSE programs, policies, procedures, and processes.\nMust have an in-depth knowledge of AR 385-10 (Army Safety Program) and OSHA Code of Federal Regulations (29 CFRs 1904,1910, and 1926) and host nation legislation.\nMust have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to develop and improve processes.\nRequires experience mentoring more junior team members.\nMust be fluent in English (speaking, reading, and writing).\nMust have effective communication and interpersonal skills.\nAbility to work in outdoor environment to include extreme cold and/or heat\nMust possess a valid driver's license.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience working in HSE role on U.S. military bases.\nExperience with operations involving military equipment maintenance operations.\nExperience working in austere environments.\nAdvanced knowledge of regulatory standards and industry best practices, to include OSHA and Army Regulations.\nProven track record in developing and implementing HSE programs and initiatives.\nStrong analytical and statistical analysis skills.\nAdvanced HSE certifications or specialized training in areas such as incident investigation, risk management, or industrial hygiene.\nKBR Benefits\nKBR offers a selection of competitive lifestyle benefits which could include 401K plan with company match, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, AD&D, flexible spending account, disability, paid time off, or flexible work schedule.
