GED plays a critical role in enabling the Intelligence Community Customer to plan and execute intelligence-gathering missions, transforming collected data into useful information for the Intelligence Community (IC) and Department of Defense (DoD) users.\nIn this role, you will have the chance to design, develop, test, and deliver products that support our customers’ advanced systems. In support of GED Front Office, Chief Architect, Integrated Intelligence Program Office, Advanced Ground Office, and Enterprise Data Applications and Platforms. You'll collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams focused on hardware, software, system integration, and data analysis to help achieve important missions and meet requirements.\nThis is a contingent position based upon contract award \nPrimary Responsibilities:\nPerform all activities associated with the design, development, implementation, maintenance, configuration management and quality control of software for scientific/engineering applications.\n\nDefine system and software requirements and obtain customer approval.\n\nAnalyze customer requirements and translate them into a design.\n\nCreate prototypes.\n\nImplement Agile development tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket/Git to manage work and collaborate with your teams.\n\nIdentify potential roadblocks and develop software solutions where the solution is not always well defined.\n\nWork to improve performance metrics through critical planning and execution of development tasks.\n\nRespond to and resolves software discrepancies against documented requirements\n\nWork with a team to define software requirements.\n\nGenerate program design language and code based on department standards.\n\nDesign, develop, test, and deploy software systems for our customers.\n\nDetermine software maintainability and overall adherence to user requirements on department standards.\n\nGenerate/update documents defining software product baselines.\n\nExplore new areas or program in new languages to deliver a complete product.\n\nSupport on-site meetings and deliveries to customers.\n\nLead junior engineers.\n\nPerform other duties as assigned.\n\nRequired Qualifications :\nActive TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph.\n\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related discipline.\n\nDoD 8570 Certification for IAT Level II or higher: (CompTIA Security+, CompTIA CySA+, CCNA OR SSCP)\n\n10+ years of experience in software development, object-oriented design, architecture, coding, and testing, with substantial experience implementing DevOps practices including CI/CD automation, containerization, orchestration, configuration management, security, and cloud technologies.\n\nExperience with Web Services and JavaScript (e.g., ReactJS).\n\nContainer based application development experience.\n\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills.\n\nAbility to work independently as well as part of a team to achieve customer and company goals.\n\nSupervisory experience for a team of engineers.\n\nHands-on experience with Java, C/C++, and/or Python.\n\nDesired Qualifications:\nMaster’s of Science degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.\n\nExperience with Postgres and MySQL, MongoDB.\n\nExperience with AWS and Azure.\n\nExperience with Docker, Kubernetes.\n\nExperience with Fortify, CodeDx, Trellix.\n\nFamiliarity with Agile and/or DevSecOps procedures.\n\nContractor Product Owner (with >10 years of experience in software management and managing a backlog of requirements).\n\nExperience with Neural Networks/Machine Learning.\n\nReady to Make a Difference?\nIf you’re excited about making a significant impact in the field of space defense and working on projects that matter, we encourage you to apply and join our team at KBR.
