And that’s only the beginning.\nJob Summary\nMetrology Technician III will provide day to day support for the Metrology Program Calibrating IMTE and guiding workflow with other technicians as well as primary for onsite oven calibrations.\nRoles and Responsibilities\nPerforms calibration and repairs on electrical, physical/mechanical, and dimensional equipment.\n\nCalibrates laboratory standards and ensures documentation aligns with Quality Systems.\n\nConducts complex configuration tests and interprets schematics and testing procedures.\n\nProvides advanced troubleshooting and repair work on electronic and instrumentation equipment.\n\nGenerates detailed reports on system conditions, repairs, and preventive maintenance.\n\nUses and maintains metrology lab test equipment proficiently across multiple measurement areas.\n\nProvides guidance on equipment operation and assists customers in defining technical requirements.\n\nPerforms complex maintenance, including inspection and diagnostics using schematics and computer tools.\n\nEnsures safe working practices and compliance with HSE requirements.\n\nResolves issues, improves departmental productivity, and proactively addresses potential problems.\n\nBasic Qualifications\nHigh school diploma with 6+ years experience in the field, OR Associates degree in engineering technology or other relevant field and 4 years experience. Formal military PMEL, TMDE or calibration school training with proof of attendance.\n\nTechnician will be inspecting fixtures and tooling using CMM.\n\nPrevious customer service experience is a plus\n\nU.S. Citizenship Status required due to client requirement.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nIndySoft, Fluke Met/Team, Fluke Met/Track and Met/Cal experience a plus+.\n\nProficient using Microsoft technology, including Excel\n\nPMEL, TMDE or calibration school a plus+\n\nKBR Benefits\nKBR offers a selection of competitive lifestyle benefits which could include 401K plan with company match, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, AD&D, flexible spending account, disability, paid time off, or flexible work schedule.
