In this position, your work will have a profound impact on the country’s most critical role - protecting our national security.\nThe MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (MSEIT) team in support of Space Systems Command (SSC) in El Segundo is seeking an individual to provide requirements development and management support for the Military Satellite Communications (MILSATCOM) Capability area. The MILSATCOM portfolio of programs has an ongoing need for IA/Cybersecurity support, to meet the needs of our emerging next-generation protected SATCOM.\nThe MSEIT contract provides leading-edge Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) support for the U.S. Space Force’s SSC. We support the Space Force’s acquisition of state-of-the-art MILSATCOM systems, providing global secure, survivable, and protected communications for our nation’s warfighters. Responsibilities:\nDevelop, refine, and maintain system requirements using DOORS to ensure alignment with mission objectives, operational needs, acquisition strategy, and technical baseline priorities.\n\nEvaluate requirements for quality, completeness, consistency, feasibility, testability, and compliance with program standards, regulatory requirements, and systems engineering best practices.\n\nCoordinate and collaborate with government stakeholders, prime contractors, support contractors, and subject matter experts to resolve requirement gaps, conflicts, ambiguities, and implementation concerns.\n\nWork closely with the Configuration Management team in preparing for Engineering Review Boards (ERBs) and Configuration Control Boards (CCBs)\n\nIdentify requirements related risks and drive technical issue resolution across engineering teams.\n\nSupport system integration and test activities by providing authoritative requirement documentation and clarification.\n\nAnalyze contractor deliverables, technical proposals, and change packages to determine impacts to requirements, verification scope, interfaces, cost, schedule, and technical risk.\n\nFacilitate requirements reviews, working groups, and technical interchange meetings to drive stakeholder alignment and timely disposition of comments, issues, and action items.\n\nEnsure requirements products remain synchronized with architecture models, interface documentation, CONOPS, test planning products, and acquisition documentation.\n\nDevelop acquisition and technical requirements-related briefings, plans, papers, and other documentation in support of government decision making.\n\nDevelop and maintain verification planning products, including verification cross-reference matrices, verification approaches, success criteria, responsible organizations, and evidence expectations for assigned requirements.\n\nCoordinate with integration, test, cybersecurity, modeling, and subject matter expert teams to align verification activities with program schedules, test resources, operational scenarios, and technical baseline constraints.\n\nReview verification artifacts, test plans, procedures, analysis reports, and contractor-provided evidence to determine whether requirement verification intent and acceptance criteria are adequately addressed\n\nWork Environment:\nLocation: On-site\n\nTravel Requirements: Minimal\n\nWorking Hours: Standard\n\nQualifications\nRequired:\nEligible for SECRET/TS/SCI clearance\n\nBachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or related technical field.\n\n8+ years of experience in satellite systems, spacecraft development, or aerospace engineering.\n\n5 years’ experience working on DoD programs\n\nDirect experience developing or managing requirements and requirements verification products for complex systems.\n\nStrong familiarity with spacecraft subsystems (e.g., payloads, RF comms, power, GNC, thermal, propulsion, on-board Command and Data Handling).\n\nAbility to read and create schematics, interface diagrams, and data communication structures.\n\nExperience with systems engineering tools (e.g., DOORS, Jama, Cameo).\n\nExcellent technical writing, documentation, and communication skills.\n\nStrong interpersonal skills, communication (oral and written), and presentation skills\n\nDemonstrated ability to clearly articulate ideas, recommendations and options to customers, senior leaders, and stakeholders\n\nProficient in Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint)\n\nDue to security requirements, work is required to be performed on-site in a secure facility\n\nDesired:\nSECRET/TS/SCI clearance\n\nMaster’s degree in engineering, computer science, or related technical field.\n\n12+ years’ experience with space systems in support of space or ground segment development\n\n12+ years’ experience in a space acquisitions environment\n\nExperience in satellite hardware and software development\n\nProficient in usage of model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools\n\nProfessional certifications (e.g., PMP, INCOSE CSEP / ESEP / ASEP)\n\nBasic Compensation: $135,000-$170,000 in California\nThe offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of
