Our focus spans proprietary technology, consulting, and energy transition to complete delivery of major capital projects and programs.\nKBR is seeking Supervisor, Accounting to support the company’s Americas business.\nWe are looking for a collaborative, curious, self-motivated finance professional who is seeking rewarding professional experience working in a high performing, fast-paced team. Our finance team is built around a strategy that prioritizes business partnership to support the company in advancing its strategic objectives. We seek to modernize and streamline our processes to deliver timely, accurate, reliable, actionable intelligence to key decision-makers. This role will report to the CFO, Energy Security.\nFunctional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:\nMaintain oversight for a wide variety of detailed financial and administrative activities for multiple projects of varying complexity\nMaintain integrity of general ledger and all other accounting systems\nAssist in month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing processes Including accruals, revenue recognition and quarterly revenue disclosures (ASC606)\nAnalyze and review monthly financial results\nMaintain accurate and timely reporting\nEnsure the highest levels of internal control; manages activities related to internal and external audits, including SOX compliance\nBe a business partner with non-accounting colleagues\nAR reviews, cash monitoring and forecasting, etc\nProject review including attending project status review meetings\nResearching accounting issues for compliance with generally accepted accounting principles\nRead and interpret contract documents as they relate to billing and revenue recognition\nCommunicate and coordinate with accounting staff in other offices worldwide. Assist with intercompany matters and reconciliations.\nAssist with LER team to rationalize entities within the group\n\nRequired Education, Experience, & Skills:\nBachelor’s Degree in Accounting with 7+ years of progressive experience\nExperience with ASC 606 revenue recognition principles and percentage-of-completion accounting for long-term engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contracts\nStrong interpersonal, supervisory, and support services skills\nWork schedule: At least 60% in person\n\nCritical Attributes:\nIs a person of high ethical integrity\nWorks effectively in a team; works effectively across teams and functions\nCurious and seeks to solve problems, ease pinch points or remove/reduce unnecessary barriers\nIs courageous; elevates issues and knows when to ask for help/support\nIs proactive and responsive\nIs a positive representative of the accounting and finance team\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\nAble to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required\n\nPreferred Education, Experience, & Skills:\nCPA or CPA-ready is preferred\nJoint Venture accounting experience is preferred\nPublic accounting experience is preferred\nExperience with SAP, Oracle,Microsoft Dynamics EPM, and Workiva preferred\n\nAs a professional courtesy, an employee should discuss his/her interest in an internal vacancy with his/her immediate supervisor at or before the time of applying.
