The program focuses on ensuring operational readiness, reliability, and safety of automotive and ground support equipment critical to Army operations.\nUnder this contract, personnel provide maintenance, repair, overhaul, and sustainment support in accordance with Army technical manuals, safety standards, and performance requirements.\nJob Summary\nThe Power System Support Mechanic performs maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, and repair of power generation and support equipment, including generators and associated electrical/mechanical systems. This role ensures equipment operates safely and efficiently to support TACOM maintenance, logistics, and operational missions. Additionally, the support mechanic will conduct inspections and operational checks to ensure equipment reliability and readiness.\nThis position is contingent upon award\nRoles and Responsibilities\nPerform preventive and corrective maintenance on power generation equipment (e.g., diesel generators, auxiliary power units)\nDiagnose mechanical and electrical faults in power systems and related components\nRepair or replace engines, alternators, control systems, wiring, and associated components\nPerform load testing and functional verification of generators and power systems\nRead and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams\nUse diagnostic tools and test equipment to troubleshoot system issues\nMaintain accurate maintenance records, test results, and documentation\nEnsure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards\nProperly use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow lockout/tagout procedures\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment\nSupport audits, inspections, and government reviews as required\nCoordinate with supervisors, electricians, and maintenance personnel regarding system status and repairs\nBasic Qualifications\nHigh school diploma or equivalent; supplemental technical or vocational training preferred\nTypically 3-5 years of experience maintaining or repairing power generation or electrical/mechanical systems\nWorking knowledge of diesel engines, generators, and electrical distribution systems\nAbility to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams\nExperience using diagnostic and electrical test equipment\nAbility to perform work in physically demanding environments\nAbility to obtain or maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (as required)\nU.S. citizenship required\nPreferred Qualifications\nPrevious experience supporting DoD, Army, or TACOM programs\nExperience maintaining tactical or field power generation equipment\nFamiliarity with Army maintenance documentation and readiness reporting systems\nExperience with load bank testing or generator certification processes\nPrior government contracting experience\nThe salary range for this position is $47,700 - $71,600. Compensation offered will depend on qualifications, experience, work location, and business considerations. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. Additional compensation and benefits may be available based on role eligibility.\nAdditional Information\nThis position will be a part of a physical work environment that requires standing, walking, and lifting. There is potential exposure to machinery, tools, fuels, oils, and outdoor conditions.
