KBR is proud to work with its customers across the globe to provide technology, value-added services, and long-term operations and maintenance services to ensure consistent delivery with predictable results.\nAt KBR, We Deliver.\nTax Manager - UK, Europe & Africa\nLocation: Leatherhead / Hybrid working arrangement\nThe Role\nReporting to the Regional Head of Tax, the Tax Manager will play an important role in managing tax risks, supporting the business and ensuring compliance across the region.\nThe successful candidate will have strong VAT expertise but will also work across a broad range of tax matters, including corporate tax, withholding tax and business projects. The role offers an opportunity to develop into a well-rounded regional tax professional while working closely with stakeholders across Finance, Legal, Operations and the wider Tax function.\nThe role will also support KBR's tax transformation programme, including process improvements, systems initiatives and the continued development of the regional tax function.\nWhat You'll Be Doing\nIndirect Tax\nManage KBR's VAT compliance obligations across the UK, Europe and Africa, ensuring timely and accurate filing across all VAT registrations in the region.\nReview VAT returns and other indirect tax filings, working with external advisers and local Finance teams where required.\nSupport VAT audits and enquiries from tax authorities.\nProvide VAT advisory support to business and project teams.\nManage VAT registrations, deregistrations and indirect tax reporting requirements across the region.\nSupport VAT-related systems, controls and process improvements.\nCorporate Tax & Tax Advisory\nSupport corporate tax compliance activities across the region.\nReview customer and supplier contracts from a tax perspective.\nSupport legal entity restructurings, acquisitions, integrations and other business initiatives.\nSupport tax audits, enquiries and disputes across multiple jurisdictions.\nAssist with tax planning, risk management and advisory projects.\nTax Governance & Risk\nSupport SOX and Senior Accounting Officer (SAO) controls across the region.\nMaintain tax process documentation and support continuous improvement initiatives.\nAssist with the preparation of tax risk assessments and governance reporting.\nSupport the development and implementation of tax policies and procedures.\nHelp ensure compliance with internal controls and group tax policies.\nTax Transformation & Projects\nSupport tax technology, ERP and e-invoicing projects across the region.\nContribute to process improvement and automation initiatives.\nWork with Finance, IT and external providers to improve the quality and efficiency of tax processes.\nSupport wider regional and global tax projects as required.\nTraining & Knowledge Sharing\nProvide practical tax guidance to Finance and operational teams.\nSupport the development of tax awareness across the business.\nContribute to internal training materials and guidance notes.\nAssist in developing tax capability within the wider regional tax team.\nWhat You'll Bring\nCTA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification.\nStrong practical experience in VAT and indirect taxes within a multinational environment.\nExperience managing relationships with external advisers and tax authorities.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities across a wide geographical region.\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills.\nA proactive and collaborative approach\nKBR Company Information\nWhen you become part of the KBR team, your opportunities are endless.
