KBR provides logistics supply support to a variety of customers located at Hill AFB\nJob Summary\nThe Lead Engineering Technician is responsible for overseeing the repair and overhaul of Honeywell secondary power assets while ensuring all work is performed in accordance with applicable technical directives, OEM standards, and program requirements. This role provides technical guidance to depot personnel, monitors production activities, supports troubleshooting efforts, and coordinates with engineering and operations teams to ensure quality, schedule, and performance objectives are achieved. The position requires strong communication, planning, and organizational skills to support asset readiness, maintain program metrics, and promote a safe and compliant work environment.\nRoles and Responsibilities\nUnder general direction, this position is responsible for ensuring repairs are done in accordance with applicable command media\nProvides guidance to Depot personnel to ensure the Honeywell OEM standards are maintained during repair of assets\nMonitors assets on test cell to ensure all performance specifications are met \nResponsible for overseeing the repair/overhaul process of Honeywell secondary power assets including scheduling, planning and reporting consistent with program plans\nMonitors preventative maintenance and calibration of equipment and systems\nReads blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, and engineering instructions for assembling and disassembling assets\nAssists in troubleshooting malfunctions using specialized test and diagnostic equipment.\nCoordinates with Honeywell engineering team to gain approval of work activities outside of the established procedures\nTakes daily directions from Engineering Manager and Operations Managers to ensure the latest production requirements are being accomplished\nWorks with Depot personnel and accomplishes the tasks through positive influence\nEnsures all repair shops are adhering to the schedule and provides resolutions actions where needed\nMust exhibit good communication practices with other logistics departments within KBR and the US Government depots\nObserves and follows all safety rules and procedures to ensure a Zero Harm work environment\nMaintains metrics critical to the project and present results to leadership and customers per the established MOS\nOther duties as assigned by Leadership to ensure program compliance\nBasic Qualifications\nMust be a U.S. citizen\nAssociate degree in a technical discipline and 6 years of relevant experience supporting maintenance, repair, overhaul, production, logistics, or related operational environments.\nIn lieu of a degree, 10 years of directly related experience supporting maintenance, production, or depot operations.\nWorking knowledge of technical publications, engineering documentation, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.\nExperience supporting repair, testing, troubleshooting, or overhaul activities for aerospace, mechanical, or electrical systems.\nProficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.\nStrong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.\nAbility to work collaboratively with operations, engineering, logistics, and customer stakeholders.\nCommitment to safety, quality, and process compliance.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience supporting Honeywell products or secondary power systems.\nKnowledge of depot-level maintenance, repair, and overhaul operations.\nExperience using IBM Maximo or other maintenance management systems.\nExperience developing, tracking, and reporting production or performance metrics.\nPrior experience working with U.S. Government depots or defense-related programs.\nDemonstrated ability to lead through influence and effectively coordinate cross-functional teams.\nAdvanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including reporting and data analysis capabilities.\nKBR Benefits\nKBR offers a selection of competitive lifestyle benefits which could include 401K plan with company match, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, AD&D, flexible spending account, disability, paid time off, or flexible work schedule.
