This role is ideal for an experienced structural engineer who thrives in a leadership position, managing projects, mentoring teams, and building strong client relationships\nYou’ll play a key role in delivering and executing a diverse portfolio of building and building-related projects across the country to support active projects the NE Region and beyond while helping shape the continued growth of KCI’s presence in the region.\nResponsibilities:\nServe as Project Manager for building structural projects, with full responsibility for scope, schedule, budget, and quality.\nLead structural design efforts for steel, concrete, masonry, and wood structures, including both new design and existing building work.\nExecute structural design and analysis for a variety of projects and conduct site visits and field investigations as needed.\nManage and coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including architects and MEP partners.\nDevelop and oversee development of construction documents using Revit and AutoCAD.\nProvide technical leadership and QA/QC oversight for calculations, drawings, and specifications.\nProvide mentoring, technical development, and general oversight of junior staff, fostering technical growth and team performance.\nAct as the primary client contact, maintaining and expanding relationships.\nSupport proposal development, scoping, and business development efforts.\nLead projects through all phases, including design, bid, and construction administration.\nPlan workloads and team staffing schedules.\nSpecialized Experience Required:\nStrong working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, structural analysis/design software, and building design.\nProven experience managing building structural projects from concept through construction.\nProven Experience with structural design, field investigations, and client coordination.\nExperience with client interaction, proposal development, and team leadership.\nStrong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills\nDemonstrated ability to manage budgets, schedules, and multiple concurrent projects\nFamiliarity with Microsoft Office and Bluebeam/Adobe.\nWorking knowledge of building and design codes.\nSpecialized Experience Preferred:\nMinimum 7 years of structural engineering experience, including project management responsibility.\nInterest in mentoring and team development\nNCEES registration and ability to obtain licensure in other states.\nProficient in RISA, RAM, or similar structural design software.\nProven ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast-paced consulting environment.\nStrong financial acumen, including budget tracking, forecasting, and resource planning.\nAbility to balance technical involvement with project management responsibilities.\nWhy Civil or Structural Engineering and minimum of 3 years of related professional experience, or 7 years of equivalent professional experience.\nParticipation in continuing education and professional development programs.\nExperience in project management roles, with a track record of successful project delivery.\nDemonstrated leadership abilities to inspire and motivate project teams.\nProven organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders.\nTechnical knowledge in the specific field of the project.\nProficiency in project management software and tools, with the ability to develop and maintain comprehensive project plans and documentation.\nKnowledge of industry standards and best practices related to project management, quality assurance, and safety protocols.\nStrong Preferred:\nMaster’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering\nCertificates, licenses, and/or Registrations Required:\nAbility to complete the KCI PM Training and Contract Risk Training along with
