All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or veteran status.\nDuties, Responsibilities & Other\nThe key responsibilities of this role include:\nLead and contribute to the planning, design, and analysis of traffic engineering projects including intersection improvements, corridor studies, and signal optimization.\nOversee project teams including engineers, planners, and consultants, fostering collaboration and accountability across all phases of design and implementation\nPreparation of traffic operational and safety studies\nPreparation of traffic signal, signing, pavement marking. lighting, maintenance of traffic design plans.\nPrepare task and technical proposals, budgets and project schedules. \nResponsible for negotiating contract terms, scope and fees with a client/subconsultant.\nResponsible for developing project schedules from inception to completion. Should be able to recognize areas where tasks can be done concurrently to optimize schedule.\nReport monthly proposal/business development results to Practice Leader.\nMentor Project Managers at lower levels to assist in their training and development.\nExperience with MSHA, DelDOT, VDOT, DDOT design standards and guidelines preferred. \nComputer proficiency (HCS, SIDRA, VISSIM, Vistro SYNCHRO/SIM-TRAFFIC) required\nPossess working knowledge of lighting software programs such as AGi32 and VISUAL\nPossess strong interpersonal skills in virtual and onsite presentations and meetings with internal and external clients\nMSCE (or comparable) and PTOE preferred. \n* Essential Duties and Responsibilities are the basic job functions that an employee must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation.\nQualifications\nEducation and/or Skills Required:\nBachelor’s Degree in related field (AEC Industry) and minimum of 6 years of related professional experience, or 10 years of equivalent professional experience.\nExperience should include a track record of expanding project management duties.\nProven experience in project management roles, with a focus on managing larger-scale projects or programs.\nStrong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders.\nProficiency in project management software and tools, with the ability to develop and maintain comprehensive project plans and documentation.\nKnowledge of industry standards and best practices related to project management, quality assurance, and safety protocols.\nEffective problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement solutions in a fast-paced environment.\nStrong negotiation skills to manage contracts, scope changes, and stakeholder agreements effectively\nStrong understanding of accounting principles to effectively manage project budgets, financial reporting, and resource allocation.\nEducation and/or Work Experience Preferred:\nProfessional Engineering Licensure(PE) or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.\nProfessional Traffic Operations Engineer(PTOE) Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire\nMaster’s Degree in related field (AEC Industry)\nCertificates, Licenses, and/or Registrations Required:\nAbility to complete the KCI PM Training and Contract Risk Training along with passing the PM Board within 6 months of start date.\nPre-employment drug screening and background investigation is a condition of employment.
