Summer interns will work a 40-hour week, with at least 10 weeks of work required during the period from mid-May to the end of August. Interns will be assigned a dedicated supervisor and mentor, are required to attend planned activities. Responsibilities include:\nAssist with structural design calculations, drawings, and specifications for bridges under the guidance of senior engineers.\nSupport structural modeling and analysis tasks.\nParticipate in inspection activities, including field data collection, reporting, and documentation.\nProvide support in reviewing construction and shop drawings for compliance with design intent.\nAccompany engineers on site visits to observe construction progress and verify field conditions.\nCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams across various engineering disciplines.\nAssist with the preparation of project reports, cost estimates, and proposals.\nGain exposure to industry design standards and requirements.\nQualifications\nEducation and/or Skills Required:\nThis is an entry level position where no previous experience is required.\n Currently enrolled in an ABET-Accredited College Engineering Program\nEducation and/or Work Experience Preferred:\n 3.0 GPA or higher\nCertificates, licenses, and/or Registrations Required:\nValid Driver’s License\nPre-employment drug screening and background check are conditions of employment.
