The Engineer-in-Training will work closely under the supervision of a Professional Engineer, contributing to engineering calculations, drafting, and coordination of multiple engineering disciplines. This role requires a general knowledge of engineering principles, ability to read and interpret plans, MicroStation, AutoCAD, GIS systems, pole loading or other specialty software, as well as strong communication, technical writing skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.\nKey Responsibilities:\nAssist in the design and preparation of construction drawings for a variety of projects, including civil, mechanical, structural, electrical, petroleum, chemical and utility.\nPerform engineering calculations, interpret engineering drawings and specifications.\nWork with multiple engineering disciplines and perform drafting/CADD work.\nConduct site visits to gather data, including measurements, sketches, notes, and photographs, as needed.\nPrepare design calculations, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for review and approval.\nReview and approve shop drawings and ensure that they meet project requirements.\nRead and interpret technical documents necessary for job performance.\nConsult and coordinate with other practices and sub-consultants as required to ensure project success.\nAttend bi-weekly (or more frequent, as necessary) meetings with the project team to discuss project progress and tasks.\nEnsure that all projects fulfill ISO compliance requirements and operate within specified budget parameters.\nComplete all tasks on time and within budget while fully meeting project scope.\nAchieve or exceed budgeted individual utilization targets.\nComply with all company policies and procedures.\nComplete other duties as required or assigned.\n* Essential Duties and Responsibilities are the basic job functions that an employee must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation.\nQualifications\nEducation and/or Skills Required:\n0-2 Years of experience \nBachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-Accredited Program \nGeneral knowledge of MicroStation, AutoCAD, or Revit.\nStrong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.\nGood communication and technical writing skills.\nDetail-oriented with strong organizational skills.\nAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment.\nStrong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.\nEducation and/or Work Experience Preferred:\nPrevious internships or work experience in the Engineering field.\nCertificates, licenses, and/or Registrations Required:\nValid Driver’s License\nAbility to maintain required certifications.\nCertificates, licenses, and/or Registrations Preferred:\nEngineer-in-Training (EIT) certification \nPre-employment drug screening and background check are conditions of employment.
