All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or veteran status.\nDuties, Responsibilities & Other\nKCI is looking for bright and highly motivated college students (rising juniors, rising seniors or rising graduate students) to support and learn from our talented and diverse team of engineers, planners, scientists, and construction managers.\nThe intern will work under the supervision of a technical manager within one of KCI's many diverse consulting, engineering, scientific, or design practices to gain exposure to real world projects and daily work tasks. Summer interns will work a 40-hour week, with at least 10 weeks of work required during the period from mid-May to the end of August. Interns will be assigned a dedicated supervisor and mentor, are required to attend planned activities, and must submit mid-summer and end-of-summer reports/presentations. Depending on the selected candidates’ career field, the duties may include:\nAssist in the development of plans, documents, presentations, and figures. \nConduct data analysis and reporting \nComplete field surveys \nConduct entry level engineering, design or drafting \nPrepare planning studies and coordinate conceptual plans with other design disciplines \nApply quality control procedures in alignment with ISO\nCommunicate with client(s) on a limited basis \nProvide on-time delivery of project expectations with favorable feedback \nPerform administrative or office management duties\nQualifications\nEducation and/or Skills Required:\nThis is an entry level position where no previous experience is required.\nCurrently enrolled in a college Engineering, Planning, Geography, or Public Policy program.\nEducation and/or Work Experience Preferred:\n3.0 GPA or higher preferred\nMicroStation or AutoCAD skills desired but not required.\n\nGIS experience desired but not required.\n\nAdobe Creative Suite experience a plus.\n\nCertificates, licenses, and/or Registrations Required:\nValid Driver’s License \nPre-employment drug screening and background check are conditions of employment.
