This role requires a deep understanding of landscape architecture principles, strong project management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, team members, and regulatory agencies. The Senior Landscape Designer will also be responsible for quality control, staff oversight, and ensuring all projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with ISO standards.\nKey Responsibilities:\nManage multiple landscape and irrigation projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery within budget.\nWork closely with project team members, clients, and agencies to maintain project schedules and resolve any issues.\nAchieve or exceed individual utilization targets.\nDelegate work and oversee the development of junior staff members.\nTrain backup personnel to ensure role coverage in your absence\nPrepare and review research summaries, design calculations, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for approval.\nConsult and coordinate with other practices as required.\nAttend bi-weekly or more frequent meetings with the project team on all projects and tasks.\nPrepare detailed landscape and irrigation plans.\nProduce high-quality presentation and design graphics for client presentations and community group meetings.\nConduct site research and analysis to determine project feasibility, density, and constraints.\nDraft schematic land use, landscape/wetland mitigation, and forest stand delineation plans.\nConduct field construction observations and prepare detailed reports for review.\nPerform field inspections, compare field data to design plans, and gather necessary data such as measurements, sketches, and photographs.\nOversee the review and approval of shop drawings and ensure all design work meets company standards and client expectations.\nEnsure projects fulfill ISO compliance requirements and participate in quality control and plan reviews.\nEnsure compliance with all company policies and procedures.\nPrepare and deliver presentations for clients, community groups, and at public hearings or county meetings as required.\nRepresent the company at meetings with clients, county officials, and seminars.\nComplete other duties as required or assigned.\n* Essential Duties and Responsibilities are the basic job functions that an employee must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation. \nQualifications\nEducation and/or Work Experience Required:\nBachelor’s degree in landscape architecture from an accredited program.\nMinimum of 4 years of relevant experience. \nProven experience in planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling and monitoring Landscape Architecture projects.\nProven experience in project management roles, with a track record of successful project delivery.\nStrong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders.\nKnowledge of industry standards and best practices related to construction management, quality assurance, and safety protocols.\nStrong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions in a fast-paced environment.\nPre-employment drug screening and background check are conditions of employment.
