All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or veteran status.\nDuties, Responsibilities & Other\nKey Responsibilities:\nWork with the Project Manager for successful project execution.\nDesign water and wastewater facilities including pumping stations, storage facilities and treatment plants.\nPrepare and review design calculations, engineering drawings, specifications, cost estimate, and technical evaluations and reports for various water and wastewater facility projects.\nMaintain accurate records of design calculations, reports, and correspondencePerform site assessments and feasibility studies\nProvide technical direction or supervision to junior engineers-in-training and BIM/CAD technicians, or other technical personnel.\nEnsure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including preparing permit applications and obtaining necessary approvals\nConstruction administration and engineering services (submittal review, contract document interpretation, requests for information, shop drawing reviews, correspondence, and change orders), as required\nCommunicate and coordinate with clients, utility owners, project teams including other engineering disciplines, designers and subconsultants\nComply with all KCI policies and procedures.\nComplete all tasks on time and within budget while fully meeting project scope.\nWork Experience:\nProficiency with BIM and CAD design platforms, specifically Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD.\nExperience in process system design including pump head loss calculations and pump selection, treatment plant head losses, chemical system design, process equipment system design and similar systems. \nAbility to work on multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight project deadlines\nAbility to work as part of a collaborative, multi-discipline design team with the initiative to work independently and take on additional projects as needed\nAbility to conduct field work at existing facilities to gather information for reports and designs. \nEffective verbal and written communication skills\nDemonstrated proficiency in organization and presentation of documentation\nProficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook, Teams, Excel, and Powerpoint is required. Experience with Microsoft Project is preferred.\n* Essential Duties and Responsibilities are the basic job functions that an employee must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation.\nQualifications\nEducation and/or Work Experience Required:\nBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or related field.\nFive (5) or more years of project experience in the study, design and engineering of water and wastewater facilities and related projects\nProven experience in planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling and monitoring engineering projects.\nProven experience in project management roles, with a track record of successful project delivery.\nStrong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders.\nKnowledge of industry standards and best practices related to construction management, quality assurance, and safety protocols.\nStrong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions in a fast-paced environment.\nEducation and/or Work Experience Preferred\nMaster’s Degree\nCertificates, licenses, and/or Registrations Required:\nLicensed Professional Engineer (P.E.)\nPre-employment drug screening and background check are conditions of employment.
